Having breakfast with my walking buddy today...it is her birthday and I am giving her a quilted wall hanging of a Debbie Mum angel bear sitting in a wreath that I made myself. She likes cute and it is cute, I like a more rustic look. The really nice thing about this gal is that I know her well enough to tell her that if the darn thing doesn't hang straight and twisting the wire does not work to use duct tape!!!
Went and tagged the tree! The boys were adorable running thru the forest (sounds like bunny foo foo eh?) We will chop that bugger down on Saturday and hopefully Jiff an Mom can come help decorate it.
A bit of wrapping and a bit of baking and a bit of shopping today. I really need to get to the store to get that on sale bottom round for the saurerbtaten!!!!

Had our office party last night, it was quite festive. I am always amazed by those that have toooo many cocktails and then hav to show their face at work the next morning. Very scary!!!
My boss is off today, hurray!! Maybe I can get something done.HEEHEE

Laundry is my middle name today and with the updating in our basement going on, I have let that slide quite a bit. Got a complete mountain of it today. Tonightis dh's boss' Christmas get-together and I'm not really looking forward to it. They are the kind of people that at heart are not really social but they are really extending themselves so they can appear to be social. At least that's the impression I get and I'm expecting a lot of awkward silences tonight.
Morning Ruth, Peach, Scooby, and Pooky -- and everyone who posts while I'm posting (I can come and go ad infinitum when I'm trying to get a posting written...) and after!
Sun's coming up -- I'll take it.
Lots to do today -- grades to figure and drive over ('bout 80 miles, round trip), at least one box to get wrapped and mailed, gotta take the car to Dubuque to see if the trannie's in trouble and while we're there, a customer and his wife to take out for dinner (Tom's, not mine -- love those expense account dinners!), and I have to dig through a pile of laundry at least twice as big as Pooky's to try to find something to wear.
I'm not fast. (Probably because everything I do takes at least twice as long as it should while I fling and flail around madly trying to find what I need -- to do what I need to do!) It's a family curse.
So I better get scooting.

Well it is back to work today...maybe it will keep me out of trouble...I had a huge fight with my Mom yesterday...worst in my 37 years and it sucked the life out of me....
Haven't been doing too bad program wise...but I have sampled the cupcakes, homemade turtles and butter tarts...only to be sure they are safe for consumption, it is really the only caring thing to do.
Liz~The FLY (aka FlyLady) is a website (aka pesty harrassing pest) which offers home organization and cleanup tips (read---daily schedules and harrassments). As with most pests-once she gets into your system she can become deadly! lol I think the URL is simply flylady.com.
I wish I could respond to all--unfortunately NOT. Today is dh's b-day and he's demanding of my time. I just wanted to pop in, say hello, and let Ruth know she has extra prayers going her way today!
Dh/DS are to be leaving for the deer lease at 2 a.m., hopefully I can catch up with everyone tomorrow!

Ruth thinking about you and sending good vibes your way. Let us know how it goes. Pooky can you please bottle up some of your energy and send it my way. Better yet, when you get finished redecorating your place, come out west and do mine. Liz a shame about your fight with your Mom. An event like that can sure make you feel drained. We always think that once we're grown up we will be able to handle little personality conflicts with more poise and assurance. I find I'm more emotional than ever whenever DH and I have a row. Our daughters say "Gosh after 37 years of marriage you'd think you two would have worked out all the problems or gotten divorced by now". How little THEY know.
We had a terrible wind storm here on the Wet coast last night and my power was out for 14 hours. Others in more remote areas may not have power until next week some time. I was virtually stranded at home because the garage door is electric and I don't have the strength to open it manually. It's amazing how many things we CAN'T do without power. I can't even get phone calls because all the phones in the house are plug-ins. Have to go out to DH's workshop to chat on a normal phone line.
Then there are all those clocks that have to be reset. That one on the VCR always stumps me no matter how many times I've set the clock.
Doped up! Dozy! Bloodied! But unbeaten! I think I am quoting someone.
Anyhow, procedure went well - no results until later, of course. Spent most of the day sleeping but certainly intend to be back to alleged normal tomorrow.
