Question Something to think about...

My friend just emailed me this..pretty interesting, eh?

It truly is a smaller world than we think.

If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following:

There would be:
> > 57 Asians
> > 21 Europeans
> > 14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
> > 8 Africans
> >
> > 52 would be female
> > 48 would be male

> > 30 would be Christian

> > 11 would be homosexual

Hi Pooky,

Kind of makes you think, doesn't it? After living in Indonesia for 16 years, I can attest to many of these statistics. The minimum daily wage is $6 per day in the large cities in here. Although most of the younger generation can read, most of their parents cannot. (Thanks to the mandatory education program which began in the 60's).

This is also in the top 10 (maybe 5) for total population in the world, and it's predominantly an Islamic country. It's a great place to live BTW.

Cheers
