Exactly! I think that is how you have to look at it.

Well said, joefla. It definitely was a fat surtax. Women deal with that too in the plus size store, it's so expensive.

Walmart upcharges on their bigger sizes too but I am finally almost a normal size, even if it's still an XL.

I tried on some things at Old Navy the other day; couldn't even believe some of the stuff was too big. I used to be almost too big for the plus size stores. I feel so blessed and lucky.

p.s. I want to see pics of the new items from the original poster even though I might drool on my computer!

I went on a mini shopping spree about 30 pounds ago but that was because I didn't have any clothes that fit. It's so nice looking put together...something I stopped caring about as I put on more and more weight. My clothes are starting to get a bit loose but I'm not buying anything new until I lose another 15-20 pounds. I've been lucky enough to get some clothes from friends and family which I have put to good use. I plan to do a complete overhaul when I hit my goal weight so I'd rather not spend a ton of money now.

I think that sounds like a great shopping trip! And if you grow out of something that you really love, you can always have it tailored. I have a great women I take my clothes to, and it's fairly reasonable!

YOU GUYS ARE SO AWESOME! I totally feel the love.

Yeah, there is defintely a fat tax for clothes, which sucks because it does seem that the bigger clothes aren't made as well...

I didn't think about getting things tailored if I really want to keep them. Thanks for that idea!

And, hey, some of my best finds have been at the Saver's (thrift store) and the Goodwill; don't knock it,guys! A lot of times, I find new plus sized clothes with the tags, so I send a good feeling into the universe, hoping that they lost too much weight to get to wear the item I am about to buy...good vibes and all that.

I am at work but I will try to post pics tomorrow before I go in.

I know that I should wait to spend that much, but personally I didn't have much to wear besides pajama pants and my husbands t-shirts (I was out of work for a while), and I feel better and treat myself better (watch what I eat, more motivated to work out) when I look better...just a slight vanity thing on my part.

Love you bunches!
