I have a few tattoo's and it suddenly hit me. What will they look like when I lose weight? I have a significant amount to lose and I hope they are not affected.
I think that depends a lot on where they are. If they are on your abdomen, they might deflate. I think the best thing you can do is try to gain some muscle under the skin where the tattos are, so they aren't so saggy.
I have one on my upper shoulder that looks the same, but I don't carry weight there. The one on my thigh might be a little smaller, but just being a rather blocky number it would take a lot to change it. I am going to have a large chest piece done even though I still have about 40 pounds to lose.
hey i started at your weight, and im only an inch and a half taller.
i have tattoos - behind my year, on my breast, and a very large (20+ hour back peice, upper back, above bra strap, 2/3 of back).
ear- hasn't been affected.
breast- i went from a 40 E to a 34D, tattoo has shrunken, but not discoloured, blurred, or lost deffinition, in fact it looks better.
back- it has shrunken as there is less skin, it is smaller but also proportional. the back peice is very intricate and has not lost it's integrity at all. none of my tattoos have.
Out of curiousity, what do you have behind your ear?
I have 3 tattoos, right shoulder blade, behind right ear, and left inner ankle. None of them (Thankfully) have been changed, but none of them were really in places I've gained/lost.
I never gave any thought to how losing weight would effect my tattoos. Don't think it will on the ankle one but now you got me thinking about the two on my thigh's...one on each thigh and the one is pretty good size. I am hoping it doesn't effect it too much...don't have a whole lot to lose but still.
