Default Why is this combo of swimsuit so hard to find?

I want a two piece swimsuit. For once in my adult life, I want to feel I can pull off a swimsuit like that. However, it needs to support the chest and it needs to cover my belly.

Every morning when I get dressed, I think - why can't I find a swimsuit like my bra (a 34G) and my underwear which go up to just under my belly button.

When I look online I find cute bikini tops in my size, but the bottoms are traditional bikini bottoms and not high waist. Or, I find higher waist bottoms, but not the right size tops.

I really don't get it! I found a couple, but I think they are ugly! I won't buy a suit I find ugly just because the fit is right looking online.

I've looked at Panache, Freya, Fantasie, and others on all the top bra sites -Linda's, Bare Necessities, etc.

I can't be the only gal who needs boob support and wishes to cover her tummy a bit, I hate tankinis because the top tends to ride up. One pieces arer a pita to get in and out of when they arre wet and going to the bathroom is a pain.

I thought it would get better as people arer starting to think about swimsuits, but so far, I'm not seeing much. Maybe I'm still looking too soon?

You're probably going to have to mix and match, on a lot of sites you can buy the bits seperately.

Maybe something retro would suit your needs? High waisted bottoms and tops for large chested ladies.

http://www.pinupgirlclothing.com/swimwear.html?p=3 have a lot of high waisted bottoms.. Not sure about the tops, do you want the top to come down a bit?

http://www.google.ie/imgres?imgurl=h...UBMAw&dur=2147 that sort of shape, or am I way off?

I agree with Leila. This style sounds like what you're describing.

From what I can see - the pinupgirlclothing is regular cup sizes and doesn't show what a S, M, L, etc means. I do not want to be spilling out all over in the swim bikini top. My breasts are big, heavy and floppy. All the pinupgirl stuff too ties around the neck, that is too much strain on my neck for the boobies - I want it like a bra top, just a swimbra, essentially.

And for teh second link, I don't need it so high waist. Well, maybe I do, but I think that looks odd. I just want a normal - almost to my bellybutton one.

Sigh, yes, but not in my boobie size. I cannot fit into a standard bikini top. I've tried. I truly need a bra like swimtop.

Here is what the search engine finds me on Linda's site. None of the bottoms seem high rise. A couple do, but I'm not sure how I feel about those flip over bands.

I always have bought separately. Like you I really need a top that fits like a bra but I want bottoms that at least cover my loose skin (but they don't have to be super high waisted either).

What I plan to do on my next swim suit purchase is simply buy the bikini top in (could have a design or whatever on it) but try to get a color that will easily be matched to something else. You can even look at things like Speedo (I recall that they had some briefs that weren't so skimpy but not necessarily completely full coverage either) or do what I've done in the past and look for really, really discounted bottoms, buy two and then sew them together to get more coverage.

I've found that it wasn't too bad picking a top that I liked and then searching elsewhere for bottoms that went well with it.

I've thought of that, but I am a snob with clothing. I really, truly am I realize. It has to match exactly or I will feel everyone will know that I didn't get them together. And, most things I find are black or dark brown. I am white. like shockingly pale. Black or brown so doesn't work for me. Though, that's what I've ended up with so often. I am much better off in a coral/orangish shade or greens and matching those up are not easy. Plus, again, my snobiness in stuff, I wouldn't want a colored top and a plain bottom. They would need to tie together somehow so that, again, I would know and everyone else would know - these things go together.

I don't have an answer for you as I tend to gravitate towards tankinis and boy shorts, but I had to laugh when you talked about one pc. being a pain to go to the bathroom in. I remember when I was a little girl I lived in my bathing suit because we had a pool and I was a fish. I remember figuring out one day that you don't have to pull the whole suit off to go pee, you just have to pull the crotch to one side or the other, do your business, wipe and put it back in place. Anything to save time to get back in the pool

Maybe we big chested girls should go into business making swim suits that fit like a bra, I have said that many many times that suit makers are missing the boat. It needs to support like a bra, not just have big cups or underwires, we need support!!!

Yeah that makes sense. I don't have a large chest so I'm not used to thinking about the weight..

Eh, here's an idea.. would you consider getting a one piece you love and getting a seamstress to turn it into a 2 piece for you? Then you could choose exactly how large a gap between top and bottom?

YES!!! I truly don't understand how they can't manage that better? I mean, don't most girls want support? or do most just not need it? I hate the uniboob look, or the "let's smash them soo tight that you look like a funky man kind of suit (ie racing suits).

I'll keep looking and probably end up in a one piece or tankini. Boy shorts look weird on me, I think it's the way my lower hip/top of outer thigh is shaped. Yet I know women who look really cute in them.

The tankinis I had the last two years, the tops would ride up and that makes my stomach look worse than it does normally - like I need that? LOL

Has anyone ever tried Sunsets? I see they go up to an E cup and that might possibly be OK for me - depending on the fit.

You can mix and match all kinds of styles. I don't see anything on their fit yet, but I'll keep looking.

I'm in the same boat and about the same bra size as you.

Would you consider buying a tankini skirt? I like the ones from Land's End...the fabric ones that dry right away vs the lycra ones. They don't always match exactly, looks more matte/dull finish but covers everything up below the belly button and still shows off great legs.

I'm a 32DDD and petite, and buying a two piece has always been so much easier. Small bottom, largest top they have with an underwire.

Post-baby, I'm not so comfortable with my stomach, so I've switched over to one pieces. I love the Lands End selection for larger busts.

I have the Women's Grecian One Piece Slender Suit because it's the only one piece I found that comes in petite AND has a customized bust.
