Default Self-tanning?!

Well, I tried fake baking a few years ago and I loved it...it was my way to unwind for 20 minutes out of the day and get all warm and cozy. But, it was expensive and potentially cancerous, so I snapped out of that!!

I've done the spray tans at salons (tried it a few years ago), but they are $10 a spray, so I don't want to spend a ton of money on that, either.

Does anyone have any good products they can recommend for self-tanning? Like sprays or mists you can buy at WalMart or Target or something? I don't want to do lotions because those are a pain in the butt (done them before), so I'm thinking more along the sunless sprays or something. Can anyone recommend something that won't leave me orange or streaky?

I do not know of any lotions. Just have to say that I recently started tanning and I LOVE it. I have sacrificed these things many years so I could give to my kids, now they are a little older I figured I deserve this indulgence. For now anyway.

Oh, I know, it's sooo relaxing. I used to love putting my little goggles on and just passing out for 20 minutes over my lunch hour. I just bought some Jergens lotion (yes, I went with lotion even though I really didn't want to), but I read some reviews that said it doesn't streak and it's not an intense change, just gradual...so, we'll see!

I really like Xen-Tans range. I have only used the lotion ones so far since that's what I prefer but they do mousses/sprays etc as well. I found the colour is very olive toned, lasts about 5 good days, applies evenly and most importantly imo, it doesn't smell fake tannish.

Most fake tans I've tried smell okay on application but once they've developed or have been on a while (In the case of gradual tanners) they smell really really bad, Xen Tan smells great on application (Vanilla), then the smell just totally fades to nothing!

If the smell of fake tans puts you off, I couldn't recommend Xen-Tan highly enough They also do a Scent Secure moisturizer which is supposed to neutralize the chemical which is responsible for *that smell*, I plan to try this with the cheaper gradual tanners at some point but at £25 it just seems a tad pricey for now.

The jergens tanning lotion is great. I really recommend getting the face tanner too because it won't make you break out like the body one does. Plus, wash your hands after every limb. You get better results if you do it after you take a shower. I use it sparingly on my elbows and knees. I have a light/medium skin tone and it doesn't make me orange at all. It does have a faint smell to it, but in the morning it's gone. I've also been lucky to not have it get on my sheets. Hope this helps!

I bought a sprayer and spray tan solution from Tampa Bay Tans - my daughter can spray me in 5 mins in the shower - no cancer risk and it looks streak free and natural. I could never get lotions right and spent a fortune trying different types!

I do like the Jergens tanning lotion. This is the first time I have ever used something like that, and it is working just fine for me. I haven't noticed any smell to it, but maybe that is just me.
