I used to get DD one dinner a week (after a class) from Panera, with a 99 cent treat for the morning (nothing for me though). Some of those calorie counts were good for Halloween -- scary! But DD has never had a problem with her weight. She's 5'7", a junior's size 2, and fences 4 nights a week (and some weekends). I just try to make sure her diet includes some fruits/veggies and not *too* many sweets (she has some every day). Other than that, she can eat what she wants when she wants. I'm happy for her that she doesn't have weight management issues. I hope she never does.

I know! I used to get a cinnamon roll and think nothing of eating the whole thing. It's over 600 I think! And I would have a soda or hot chocolate with it. It doesn't even tempt me now, thank goodness.

What the heck is happening in Ottawa this morning? I'm horrendously busy and can only afford to glance briefly at the Internet while listening to aWebEx meeting.

Hope the person was stopped quickly.

I'm not sure who was killed or by whom. From our daily paper here in Toronto:

"A Canadian soldier and a Parliament Hill security guard were wounded Wednesday morning in a chaotic attack on the nation’s capital that police believe involved more than one assailant.
These acts took place in the centre of Ottawa, near landmarks like The Chateau Laurier and The Rideau Canal as well as the prime minister’s office and Supreme Court."

I booked DH into a hotel about 3 blocks from there - hope they get it all sorted out by Friday when he leaves to pick up Trixie.
