We've been lucky that we've both had success with plain old calorie counting. I'm working out and he hasn't been, but that's the only difference. We both kind of also prefer a larger breakfast, smaller lunch and bigger dinner, though I throw in an afternoon snack most days too.

I also understand the irritability when hungry. I get pretty bad myself, but have learned to recognize when those things are about to happen. The doctor told me about two years ago I was borderline hypoglycemic, so I started paying more attention to what I was eating and how things made me feel. He may be in the same boat, but isn't ready to make the changes I made yet.

WOW - sorry that happened but like someone else said it seems to me its about something else and at a non dinner time you should probably talk ot him about it.

To all of you who can get your partners to clean up the kitchen after they've cooked how the heck did you do that?

Um, sorry, I did it by marrying a compulsive neat freak! Of course, I'm not one and we do drive each other crazy at times. He'll starrt washing dishes before I'm done eating......

DAGMAR About 1/2 the time I do all the clean-up and the other 1/2 we share it. When I cook I clean pots and pans as I go then all we have is dishwasher stuff....I start rinsing plates while Angie starts putting leftovers in Tupperware.

We both work and both share the household and yard chores....I didn't always...Angie learned early on in our marriage how to withho**....er...convince me

PAT ...Angie has a bad habit of putting leftovers away BEFORE I am finished...happened tonight She asked if I wanted another taco shell fired (something she does maybe twice a year)...I said not to worry about it, If I wanted more, after I finished the one I was on, I'd make nachos with the beans, hamburger, cheese, etc.

Angie left the table and went into the kitchen then up to take a shower...I reached over grabbed the sports page (not allowed when we eat )

I got up from the table...went into the kitchen and all the leftovers were already in the fridge!

Not the first time she has done that one to me
