Jessica - funny funny. I'm going to print that out and send to a woman I work with.

Pat - glad you are liking the Keurig! Sorry it was so hard getting coffee up there!

Allison - cool on the computer.

Pat, routers have a reset button if you had changed the default password. Google your router make and model and you'll have the instructions. If you hadn't reset the default pw, the online docs will give that as well.

Alison, that is GREAT news. You will love your new laptop! Very cool!

Jessica, it's nice to find someone else that thinks 1450 is not the same as 1400. Although my odd brain seems to think when I eat 1350 of my 1400 cal allotment, it's the same.

Shannon, I admit I allot ice cream into my daily cals. Every day except when I'm not at home. I LOVE Breyers Very Cherry Choco Chunk. At 120 cals for a 1/2 cup and 50 cals for a cone, I can fit my 170 every night for dessert. I once measure the ice cream into a 1/2 cup measurer and when I got my cool (read accurate) food scale, I put the amount I serve myself on the scale and changed the weight to grams. I was underestimating. How awesome. Ice cream is truly the only dessert food that I love. I can bypass cookies, cobblers and cakes, but ice cream, no way!!!

Marie - I was acuatally underestimating my ice cream serving as well, when I weighed it out. Unfortunately, my ice cream splurges now often run the tune of the entire pint. I work really hard to start out with the lower calorie versions.

My husband has a t-shirt that says "No, I will not fix your computer". I'm thinking my dad and my brother need the same shirt, too.

Oh gosh I love them all! Because 10 years I was the IT help-desk where I worked, people think I've kept up with everything!! No people, I don't know all that new stuff... and I especially don't want to work on your computer. It's enough to keep my own going.

Thanks for the tip on the wireless route Marie. I don't think I changed the default password. And I know what I did was to fix it so it would only see my laptop because when I took my work laptop home I couldn't log on - didn't get asked for a password. I'll figure it out - just have to be in the mood, you know.

I'm so procastinating this afternoon. I have something due at noon tomorrow - nearly done - and a grant app due Friday - not nearly enough done! And a doctor's appt tomorrow morning...... get back to work Pat

YEah, um, DH is my help desk too and that flowchart made my eyes cross---as flow charts often do....and directions too....my motto is "directions are for weenies" which might explain my computer ineptness. I still don't know what our modem looks like...buttons and wires make my eyes cross too....

A football theme would be fun, Jessica! I find chili to be a great, hearty onplan food.

Unhappy Omg!

One of my clients was on vacation down south this week. Her house was empty.

It burned down yesterday. She and partner are on their way back today - vacation cancelled.

I will think of this the next time I feel sooo sorry for myself because it's cold out, or the dogs are acting up, etc. etc.

I sometimes forget how fortunate I am to be strong, fit, and healthy! And to have a job that I love, and a DH who is a pretty good guy overall.

Have a great hump day all!

Dagmar - that is just awful. I've been reminded a couple of times this year how lucky I really am while watching other people's tragedy, too. Sad.

Pat - I've been procrastinating for what feels like weeks.

No exercise last night. I was planning to get on the treadmill when I got home, but instead I fell asleep for 45 minutes on the bed until DH got home. I then got up, went and picked up dinner and got a pint of frozen yogurt which I ate as my evening snack. Put me at around 2350 cals for the day, so not as bad as it could have been, and at least I had my planned salad for dinner instead of going totally off track. Woo hoo. Depending on how it goes, might not get any exercise tonight either. Have to pick DSS up at school and do dinner & bath while DH is working late. Might get some yoga before bed, if I get out a little early I'm hitting the elliptical or treadmill before pickup. We'll see if that happens.

Good day everyone!

The dog was being boarded so she's fine.

Alinell, I loved the oatmeal computer link. It hit close to home because my mom, sweet lady in her 80’s, used to call me to fix her computer over the phone. We live 1700 miles apart. Finally I started lying (eeks and I’m so against lying) and said I didn’t know how to fix it.

Jessica, I printed out the flowchart and gave it to our helpdesk techs at work. They laughed.

Shannon, I was so lucky to find Breyers Cherry Choco Chunk as it is a light one. I didn't realize that for the first 2 years of eating it. I just loved it. Truly, how often does that happen?

Pat, I love “I especially don’t want to work on your computer”. I get asked a lot at work to work on personal computers and I say I hate computers and refer them to our helpdesk tech that freelances on the side. He charges $35/hour and has quite a business going.

Dagmar, hugs to your client. That is so sad. It does tend to make us grateful for the normal little things.

I wanted to share my wow-wee moment. I have been to 135 once on a diet nearly 20 years ago but wasn’t an exercise nut. So my idea of 135 is a size 10/12 for me. But I got past that a bit ago and am wearing size 8 (single digits for me????). I’m so thrilled. I’m thinking that would be it, I’d be a size 8 and love it. But this morning I started pulling up my jeans and the legs and butt were getting a little loose. I’d just order 2 more pairs since I was wearing what I was planning at. I decided that I’d stop at a local store that had a size 6 of the Levi’s I love and try them on. Holy moly, they fit. I just stared in the mirror. So the 8s are being sent back tomorrow to exchange for 6. I’m having a tummy tuck in February so having the 8s big now was a shocker. Even bigger shocker is that the 6s fit and were comfy. What has the world come to that Marie wears a size 6???? I haven’t seen that since I was probably 6 years old.
