I didn't actually eat one...which was probably best...but I could have gotten behind one of the peanut butter ones for sure. I tasted a little of the frosting and it was delicious.
Guess I should have put a food porn warning on that...

I love the Pioneer Woman, too. I get too wrapped in her blog and a few others.

Ending today with a 5 mile run at the park after work, a salad from Chick Fil A for dinner, On Demand 12 minute core abs & 33 minute yoga sculpt, 2 tabata sets of whatever came to mind each of the 20 second intervals... Mostly squats, jumping jacks and some punches, about to have a snack. Probably chocolate milk and a graham cracker with some peanut butter. Then, off to bed.

Had a little snack blip this afternoon (I got ridiculously hungry and just...couldn't stop) so I turned my lamb pitas tonight into a lamb and sauteed veggie salad. Still good, but 150 calories less. So that's positive. I'll still end up a bit high, but under 2000 and healthy stuff.

well i had pizza. hubby was so sweet and got me something "DIETY" as he says. i looked up the nutrition online, ate vegetable soup before he got home, and only had 2 slices so i'm doin all right. got the shred out of the way this morning, going to do core abs as well before bed but didn't pick a thrid one to do. i'm not going to worry about it though... i'm ok with what i accomplished today- it was such a blah rainy day... goodnight!

Had a little run-in with the peanut butter jar yesterday, but I'm glad it was just that - a little run in, 2 Tbsp.
Mmm, I want a cupcake now! Yours sound delicious, Amanda.
Shannon, you do have the exercise bug! Good job!
Thursday:
pre-AM-workout - 1/2 small banana
Gym early - 35 min. elliptical, 45 minutes of deadlift and hamstring training
B - protein pancake, 1 c. skim milk, coffee w/ 1 T. h&h, 1/2 small banana
S - 1 oz. raw almonds
L - Thai Tofu & noodles (Clean eating mag recipe), carrots & celery
Snacks - 6 oz. light yogurt, 2 kiwis
D - (parents coming into town) - I've put together a fairly healthy meal that I think they'll like alright - pesto stuffed pork chops, rosemary-roasted red potatoes with olive oil, steamed asparagus. I might just not have potatoes - I normally wouldn't have a starch and will have to add more oil & butter than I would for myself to make my dad happy.
Oh yeah, so, my parents are coming to town and though I love them and miss them very much since I don't see them often, seeing them usually ends up a food disaster for me and sometimes I get emotionally worked up (you know, when they tell me about how I'm throwing my life away on my career and my mom just drives me batty sometimes - love the woman - but the normal parents stuff). So my goal is to stay calm and not let myself get worked up and not dive into their car snacks, etc.

Suffice it to say I swore at the scale this morning.
E~30 minutes treadmill, 2.4 miles (jogged part of it)
B~egg whites (63) with red onion, red pepper and salsa (12)
S~apple (72)
L~salad, tangelo, yogurt (salad=373 with dressing + 54 + 70)
D~4 oz steak (285), med red potato (154 + 102 butter + 61 sour cream) and side salad (74)
I put all of this into fitday and it came to 1320 calories. I carefully weighed and measured everything.
An alternate dinner would be frozen pizza (290 for 1/3 of the pizza) and a salad (74). But I would probably have more than 1/3 of the pizza, so double that to 580 which comes to the same calories as the steak dinner.
I may add 1 glass of red wine for an additional 125 calories.

And today, after my minor falling-off-the-rails, I drop a lb and a half. Granted, still high, but seriously!
B - Orange, Egg whites, broccoli, and turkey bacon
S - Asian Pear w/ Laughing Cow
L - Leftovers: Grilled lamb and sauteed pepper, onion, and zucchini over greens w/ carrot and cucumber, homemade hummus-based dressing
S - WW Low Carb Tortilla w/ turkey, hummus, greens, baby pickles
S - Muscle Milk Lite
D - Girls night at Benihana...have my plan all in place: The soup, half of the salad they serve (it's loaded with dressing and there's no time to ask them to go easy on it...it's basically there the instant you sit down), hibatchi chicken and shrimp, half a cup of the fried rice (it's soooo goood) and grilled veggies. NO alcohol.
S - NSA Ice Cream Bar, if we don't eat dessert there.
50 min elliptical, 50 min "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism"...it's sooooo hard.

Good afternoon!
Amanda - glad you saw a drop today!
Allison -
Today:
Exercise - depends... might be my off day, might be 45-60 minutes of strength training if I get home before DH. I just wasn't up to it this AM. Had to go to one of the restaurants for an insurance audit so had a feeling of dread when I first got up that didn't translate well to lifting!
B: Smoothie,
S: Kashi Chewy Apple Bar
L: turkey broccoli pita melt
S: Kashi Go Lean
D: grilled chicken salad of some kind or another
S: Kashi Oatmeal Cookie
I gave in to the inner bar monster today at Publix - ended up with Special K snack bars, SBD high protein bars and Kashi chewy granola bars for my desk at work. I did get another box of Go Lean, so at least I got that in there. I'm guessing that trying to eat cleaner doesn't mean buy five boxes of various bars at the store...

Shannon~those Kashi bars are really good. Have you tried the Kashi rolls? Even better.
I can't buy them, though. I can't eat just one--it has to be two and then where's the good in that?
I didn't think my egg whites would sustain me this morning, but here it is 11 AM and I don't feel like eating my snack. Score 1 for me! (Oh, do I notice a little euphoria here?)

Does this give you any kind of a clue, Amanda?
