Buffy-I know you're really focused on that # on the scale before your wedding, but let me just say this. When I lost the first 50 lbs-people didn't really notice until almost the 50 lb mark. When I started exercising(including)-my weight loss really slowed, but the inches flew off and I really started dropping sizes. In my experience-the weight training combined with cardio and LAWL showed the biggest difference in the mirror and in my clothes, and not necessarily the scale.

Just a thought-maybe try getting to a certain size-not a certain number?

Kim- Another fellow kickboxer and stepper. I agree with you. I started doing the Firm until my dvd player stopped working- I joined the gym, and live step and kickboxing are so much more FUN! I've noticed toning and tightness in my arms through kickboxing. My fiance' afraid I"m going to kick his a**

Julie- Thanks for the awesome suggestion and for sharing your experience. I think you are 100 % correct. My brain is slowly moving toward that way, especially when my fiance asks that I flex my arms, me thinking that since I'm not lifting I won't see any difference, and when I do..I'm like wow...I'm definitely keeping this up. Also exercise kind of makes you "high"..high on life and the world around you...100 % addictive.

Have I mentioned how wonderful and helpful this board is
The only reason I told my COD is because I needed more food..the gold plan with working out 5+ hours wasn't cutting it. And I had one COD say, just keep pushing..your body is testing you..don't give in. LOL>

Hey-my gym started a new class recently and I finally tried it on Tues-it's a "TEASE" class-as in striptease. No pole dancing or anything, but the instructor brings in boas and scarves . . .it was a lot of fun once I got over myself! And surprisingly a decent cardio workout.

Shell,

I am on Purple with no lites, what plan are you on?

Exercise not only makes you look great, but feel great as well. They will move you up a food plan if you are exercising more than 5 hours per week. I eat on the no exercise plan but I I adjust my own food plan based upon days that I exercise with days that I don't. I will add a low carb protien shake on the days that I exercise because I want to make sure I am feeding my muscles!!! I am not trying to tell you to modify the program because it does work but my exercise "treat" (a 110 calorie protein shake) does't seemed to have slowed my loss. In fact I updated my ticker today and I am down 13 lbs since I started Oct. 7th!

Keep on working out!!!! Like Aphil said, you don't want to be the flabby 140lbs woman do you????

Hi Holly,
They actually did change my plan when they saw how much I was working out. I was on purple with lites and they moved me to red with lite. On the days I don't work out I don't eat the lites. I don't tell them that because I just don't want to deal with their response. I'm not sure why this particular counselor was giving me grief. I've lost 11 pounds in 3 weeks and I certainly don't think that's too shabby. So far everyone else has been nice, so hopefully she's the only bad egg in the carton.

Thanks for your responses everyone!

Shell-you'll find that there are some counselors that just HAVE to find something to critique at every visit . . . .

Michelle - Jumliemarie is correct, I guess some of them don't feel like they are doing their job unless they say something to you! Yesterday one of them said to me "I see you have been around this number for a while now, what can I do to help you" I told her I was fine and didn't really need her to do anything.
