guys I am stuck. I cant seem to lose for the life of me. Any suggestions??

Gymgurl 01-19-2006 02:02 PM

make sure you are weighing your food...make sure you are not going over or under the amounts....drink your water......how long have you been OP and how long have you been stuck

are you eating basically the same foods each day, switch up your choices, try to have higher calorie days followed by a few lower calorie days, also try a plateau breaker.

StrivingFor150 01-19-2006 04:00 PM

Shennie, what is a "plateau breaker"?

shennie_97 01-19-2006 04:16 PM

others, please feel free to chime in if i can't remember it all, but you basically have no red or dark meat or pork, no carb cravers, no eating out, no forzen meals no condiments, no free food for 5 days, but I have also heard 7 days and I have also heard not having bars for lites, instead having the drinks or soups as part of it too. Very Very basic.

Despressing Week

I weighed in agan today was up ANOTER .2!! UGH-very upsetting!

Repo girl 01-19-2006 05:35 PM

Does your center have any idea why?

lacey125 01-19-2006 06:13 PM

They are at a loss - we switched my daily menu a little to see if things will change! This is getting kind of discouraging...

Repo girl 01-19-2006 06:35 PM

I'm sure that it is. Have they called the nutritionist?

lacey125 01-19-2006 07:13 PM

I'm not sure. I will ask when I go back. I have just switched plans from gold to purple - maybe that has something to do with it. It seems like you eat sooo much on the purple plan. Maybe muscle would have anything to do with it too- I have been working out daily and I wrote in my diary, but they didn't say anything about it, so I didn't ask. I guess I should've. Thank goodness for this website - it keeps my hopes up!!

lagirl2254 01-19-2006 07:28 PM

Lacey what kind of excercise have you been doing and how much? Also what was their reasoning for moving you from gold to purple? That puzzles me and I've been a counselor for a few years now. Logic tells me that if they did switch you it will take your metabolism a little while to adjust to the increase in food, but I don't know why they would have gone from gold to purple

lacey125 01-19-2006 07:33 PM

They moved me to the purple plan because I decided to not use the lites. (for financial reasons)

As far as exercise - I walk for 60 minutes on the treadmill and about every other day I lift weights (3 sets of 12)

Gymgurl 01-20-2006 08:25 AM

Lacey I am on the Red plan becaues I workout 4-5 times a week. I weigh in this am...I to am afraid of no lose even though I have been really good and doing what I should be
