now I'm 213 lb size 18/20. I'm 5'6 and this height since 1993. I've never been a single digit size. Now that's possible because in the 90's I would have had to weigh between 105-115 tops to be one. Gotta love vanity sizes.
I'm 5'3"
At 130 I wore a size 7-9 (small in most shirts)
At 150 I wore a size 11 (medium in most shirts)
And now, at 168, I wear a size 13. (medium to large in shirts)
i'm 5'8 and at 204 pounds I'm still wearing a size 18! = P ...i've never been lower than size 16/18 since I was 15 years old so I have no recollection of what sizes I wore. I'm pushing hard now to get past that (I haven't been consistently under 199 since I was 14 years old) so I am trying to finally get past it. I just can't imagine myself smaller but I'm taking it one step at a time.
This is an interesting post, because just the other day I remember when I weighed 140 and was a size 12 (and thought I was fat!). That was about 17 years ago.
Oh Lord, what I wouldn't give to weigh 140 and be that "fat" again!
Today I'm 199.5 and wear size 1x and up. I notice my sizes vary greatly, since clothes are cut so differently from each other, so I don't even know what size I TRULY am.
I'm 5-4 and a pinch. The last I remember, I was 180 and size 14/16 (i'm larger on the top than the bottom). I now wear an 18/20. I was thin in high school and still wore a 10/12, if I recall right, because I'm pretty curvy without the weight.
Is everyone just one size? I'm currently around 160 lbs at 5' 7", and I've got pants (that fit) everywhere from size 10 to size 14. Tops are more similar: large/extra large. I don't wears skirts/dresses much, but I was a bridesmaid in July: dress size 16. I wasn't happy about that .
All through my adult life, from 126 lbs to 184 lbs, there's been a variety of different sizes in my closet that fit.
I've noticed it really depends on where you are shopping. Express does "vanity sizing" to make their shoppers feel good about themselves. I wear a size 4 at Express but everywhere else I range from a 6-10 in pants. (I am 5'3'')
Currently 180 lbs. and I'm a size 13/14 generally, although I barely fit into Juniors XLs and I fit Misses or Womens L. Seems like the Juniors sizes are smaller. Here's my breakdown (as well as I can remember).
I haven't been 145 since High School, but I remember my senior prom dress was a size 6...and I remember being shocked it fit! I have a large bone structure too so even if I weighed less I probably wouldn't go any lower than a size 6. My hips aren't going to shrink!
When I started I was a size 18 I was 215. When I got down to 200, I was a 16 and seemed to stay there forever. 180 I think put me into a 14. I hit a size 12 at 170.
The more you lose, the quicker the sizes go down for certain. I am in a very comfortable size 4 now.
