Hi Amy and Kennedy and Amy, HA!

Amy I forgot to say I love the pic, you too Kennedy! My new obsession for a meal is Hot Wings that recipe that is on the menu thread on a light bun with light mayo it is seriously to die for! You have to try it if you like spicy. Also I found a new dressing that I like it is light ranch and salsa mixed together! YUM!

Hope you all are doing great day!

JerseyMadchen 04-21-2009 12:38 PM

Hey guys!

Am in teh computer lab at school working on end of the semester projects, so I figured I would procrastinate and stall and say hello!!

Hope all is well!!

sweetandspicy 04-21-2009 01:23 PM

Amy-Procrastinate all you want you deserve it you have had a rough week. I hope things get better for you soon. Maybe your scary neighbor will move away and the time will fly until December.

Cecil- I will look up that recipe- I love spicy and am up for a change. I love your picture and wish I was at the beach right now...

Look no further my love!
Here it is! Delicious!
Ingredients:
Chicken breast tenders
Hot sauce of your choice (Our favorite is Chalulah (sp?) with the wooden top on it)
ICBINB spray
FF or LF Blue cheese dressing

Using a fork, pierce all tenders several times and place into a zip lock bag.
Pour hot sauce over, "massage", and let marinade overnight.

Bake on a wire rack or crumpled foil on a sheet pan. 400 F until done.

Spray with margarine spray and broil until brown.

Serve with LF or FF blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.

Good Day Everyone

Mommyofsix: Congratualtions for being POP over the weekend. Sometimes the weekends could be tough. I know what you mean about the food journal. I don't even complete one. However, its been pretty sticky lately because sometime's I don't remember eating a specific serving (e.g. fruit, my bars, my starches) I have been on mega fast forward the last couple of days. You are right I guess it is better than overeating. Also yes getting all the servings in can be hard. Some day I just sit there and I say I can't even eat anymore.

Cecil: Wow, I can't believe that it is already 4 weeks. Where did the time ago? I guess I am enjoying myself very much with this challenge and look forward to everyone's posts. Cecil your Chef instinct is sure out and about good for you and thanks for the tips.

JerseyMadChen: Yayyyy your back. Yes I will PM you soon with my email and thanks for giving me additional information on these books. Also good luck with tying up loose ends/final projects at school.

NavyWife4lyfe: Welcome to you. Take Off Juice is the juice that the center's would put you on before you start one of the programs. It is kind of like a detoxing stage and it is used just as MommyofSix mentioned. You can find it on Ebay if you want it. I always use "Celebrity 48-Hour Diet Juice" instead. If you do a search you will also learn of other alternatives. Are you currently following the LA Weightloss Plan

Okay? Did I miss a post about a not to savory neighbor?

As for me I am doing okay. Sorry I havn't been posting lately. Work has been absolutely crazy. I had to prepare for two workshops that I finally gave today. I didn't do as good as I wanted but it's okay. I was feeling pressured all week gathering information so on and so forth. I am so happy that I still managed to stay on plan after the stress. Also, I started some training via online. My first day was yesterday however, I don't have an opportunity to log in (whoops I honestly fell asleep for about two minutes).

Ladies it's official I am exhausted. Have a good night...Tommorow is my 4 week (half way mark) in which I need to weigh myself so once I do that I will post my stats.

Nite-Nite

Half Way Mark (The Results are in)

Good morning one and all. It is about 6:00 am over in my end. I jumped on the scale and it said 204 pounds. So that means within the 4 week time period I lost 10 pounds. I changed my ticker and updated my information. I will weigh-in for the last time in May. I also hope to post maybe a new picture of myself. Also, I truly believe that if it wasn't for this forum IN PARTICULAR "THIS SPECIFIC THREAD" I would have fell off the diet wagon already. So thanks for starting the thread and thanks for the frequent posts, motivation and support.

I wish everyone a good day I need to hurry up and get dressed I need to go to Walmart before work.

KityCat 04-22-2009 01:35 PM

I know would be starting late, but I was wondering if I could jump in a get a few pointers. I have a case of la lites, no take off and would love to get back on track, Can someone please assist and help me get over the hump an dget going. I have gained and I am not feeling the greatest and would greatly appreciate any pointers anyone has to help. The la weight loss here closed, but I think with some assistance I can get back on track, I was down to 1255 at one point when doing it so I KNOW It works. :)

cecil 04-22-2009 01:47 PM

Hi Cat!

What kind of pointers are you looking for? Like what to eat?? I know you can do it on your own but being on this site is going to help trememndously! Keep you accountable! Check in daily and tell us what is going on! We will love to hear from you!

sweetandspicy 04-22-2009 03:14 PM

Kitycat- Welcome. :welcome3:We are here to support each other in our weight loss journey. I started the Summer slimdown challenge however so far I am about 5- 6 pounds behing where I wish I was right now. So I see a new challenge in my near future. I completly understand about trying to get started again. I think if you went back to a center they would first recommend a take off or something to give you a jump. I am past due a take off myself and probably am going with the Hollywood Diet Juice this time as opposed to buying the take off. Also Ebay sells the takeoff. So just as questions, offer advice & suggestions, read past post for inspiration, post recipes and take all the advice you get from Amy, Cecil and Kennedy they are doing great!!!:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

cecil 04-22-2009 03:20 PM

H i Ladies! I have an idea!

We should all do Take off together!!!! Like maybe Next Monday and Tuesday?

sweetandspicy 04-22-2009 03:30 PM

I am in that will give me time to get the take off!! It is easier for me to do Take off During work becaues less oppurtunities to eat or worry about eating...

kennedy5672 04-22-2009 08:15 PM

Hello

KityKat: Hey welcome aboard! I don't have a center in my area either. Every time I do the "Take-Off" phase I use the drink called "48 hour celebrity juice". This juice can be found in Vitamin Shoppe and Walmart. I follow the same directions as I would if I was using the Take-Off drink and I would get the same results. If you don't want to buy the drink there is a way to incorporate oranges instead. I have been doing LAWL since 2001 and I have saved most of my literature. I have done the "Take-Off" Phase using the (oranges) method this was before the juice existed and then with the Take Off Juice and then with the juice I described above. So if you like PM me your email address and I will send you the information. Or you can do a search and you can probably find the information some where here in the forum as well. Good Luck to you.

MommyofSix: Thank you for the big congratulations

Cecil: that sound's great about doing the Take Off together. So I am in, so is MommyofSix and hopefully JerseyMadchen can do it too.

Also are we going to have an ending date for this Summer Slim Down Challenge. Because I wouldn't mind us starting a new one. Do you think we can end the last week of May and immediately start another one that maybe goes till July 4th. Let me know.

Heather5 04-22-2009 09:06 PM

Hi Everyone!

I have been on this site several times, but I have such a crazy schedule. I post a few times, then I get busy and I go a few months without posting. I have taken off and put on the same 10 - 15 pounds for what seems like forever. I am so tired of the roller coaster. I love ice cream and chocolate, so during the summer I have a tendency to fall off the wagon.

I went on vacation in February and lost some of the 10 pounds and since then have put it back on. I just could not get myself back to my normal eating habits. Now that shorts season is coming I want to make sure I fit into all of my clothes!

If you don't mind, I would like to join in, so that I can hopefully stay on track.

My goals:
*Post at least once a week
*Get down to 125 lbs & stay there
*Once I get my eating back on track, exercise at least 3 times a week
