Hello Everyone!
I got back late last night after spending the past 3 days in DC on an 8th grade field trip. I had a lot of fun with the kids, but now I am exhausted and I feel yucky!!! I did nothing but eat junk food and fast food all weekend. The food was included in the trip, so I did not have a lot of choice in the food I ate. I am so glad to be back, so I can get on track! Here is my plan to get back on track: 1) Do take off Wednesday and Thursday 2) Follow a combination of LAWL and WW My mom did WW a while ago, so I have some of her stuff. Things always come up and it can be so hard to stay on plan. I think if I use a combination of both, then it will be easier for me to follow. The only thing that I can do is give it a try and see what happens! I am off to bed, so I can catch up on my sleep. Talk to everyone later! Heather |
Good morning to you all. Sounds like everyone is doing well and staying on plan. I must say that this thread is what keeps me motivated to stay on plan. To see how well everyone is doing and to see that the weight can come off and stay off. I have decided that I am going to stay on plan today until saturday. I am not making any subsitutes or waivering in anyway. I will weigh and measure everything as well as get in all my water plus some extra. I think I am going to cut out some of the carbs/starches and maybe limit the dairy a little bit. I have been reasearching weight loss and I have always been lactose intolerant but was always told by my mother and others how important it is to get calcium and dairy. I am wondering if my issues with dairy could be some of my weight gain/loss issues. Also I am a huge fan of Dancing with the Stars and I read in an old people magazine the dancers diets and most of them limit carbs and most do not have any carbs after 3pm. I wonder if there is something to that.
anyway we will see if any of it works for me. I need a loss in a major way. I feel I have plateaued and need some kind of boost. So I am going to try some different food combinations and limitations and see what works. Hope everyone has a wonderful on plan Tuesday!!! |
I think limiting carbs after 3pm is a great idea! In fact, I don't know if I saw the scale move when I added exercise or if it was the combination of that plus no carbs after my late afternoon snack. Only protein and veggies for dinner....:carrot:

Hi Girls!! Wow I need to catch up LOL
Well....TO not so well. I lost 3 pounds, then TOM showed up (thankfully!!) and I put the 3 pounds back. I feel better though I have to admit. I did the slimfast for the folowing three days so maybe overall it's just TOM!! :) I am hoping to go full force after vacation. KEnnedy: SOrry to hear about the -0- :) better luck to us both next time. NExt week I will try again. **I have a question, my husband is doing this diet with me. While I was doing the TO I did the juice and my husband ate two oranges per day with the same foods and he was able to keep of two pounds. So I think next time I might try that since the juice is not the greatest and it will cost less for me to buy oranges? Has anyone else had this luck? I am a little upset with myself since I am going to Vegas on Thursday and am still the same exact weight as I started!! URGH!! :( I am still excited to go though, I will miss my kids, and hubby as I have not left my kids that long before! I'll check in later. |

Well I feel back on track for now anyway. I stayed on plan yesterday and limited my carbs and dairy and did 30 minutes cardio. I always feel better when I stay on plan but boy is it easy to slip a little. My number one weakness is icecream and everywhere I look now is ice cream. My mother in-law asked for an ice cream maker for mothers day and i informed my husband that I would prefer not to get an ice cream maker as I hate hate hate making things I can not eat. He got a weird look on his face which indicates to me that it has already been purchased, he for some reason always buys me and his mother the same thing even though we are nothing at all alike. I guess it is just easier for him.
Anyway, it is raining here suppose to be severe. Not looking forward to that. It is however easier to be at work when it is rainy rather than sunny. I just like the sunshine better. But my grass, veggies and flowers need the rain. Hope everyone is having a great and on plan day and that everyone survived Cinco de mayo! |
I mentioned in the other thread but thought it deserved a second mention here on the Slimdown. on lifetime TV they have a new show called cook yourself thin. It is 2 women who teach you how to substitue veggies and other things into recipes to cut down on fats, calories, carbs and sugars. I was able to watch the first episdoe last night and it is great. I went on lifetimes website and they have the recipes available along with a lot more. I have not tried any but will try a recipe this weekend. I have seen recipes similar to these but it was great to see someone prepare the food and show you those little tricks the pro chefs use. The first show they made cupcakes with zuccini. it sounds good. so we will see. I just wanted to share the info.

Hope everyone is doing well!!!I miss hearing from your guys..

Trying to Catch up (lol)
Momof3kidos: Sorry for not responding to you sooner. Are you still with us? TO means Take Off Juice or similar juice that we all tend to use once in awhile to flush out/clean out the toxins in our system. We use it every now and then when we need to jump start our weightloss journey. If you look at the previous posts we have lots of information about the juice such as what type is used and how it is used and how long we use it and then what we do after we use it for those two days. Also I always use the search feature on the forum if I have a question about something. Cause 9 out of 10 times someone has asked the question before. Good Luck on your journey if you need more information please let us know.
Heather5: I hope you had fun in DC. I myself would like to take a trip there with my son. Good Luck with starting TO don’t worry about what you ate on your trip. What ever happens in DC stays in DC and yes that includes our bad food choices. Just get right back on the ball and you will be fine. Good Luck on your take-off. Mommyofsix: I heard of that before just recently from someone else who said something about no carbs after 3:00 pm. Maybe it is worth a shot. I know that I usually have my Carbs first thing in the morning and at lunch time. I rarely have them in the evening. Sometimes you have to play around with the food options to get it just right. Wow an ice cream maker. Ice cream is not even allowed in my house. I tell my son that if he wants ice cream he better be prepared when the ice cream trucks pulls up to the curb. Somehow ice cream knows my name and calls me in the middle of the night. I just can’t have it in the house (ha, ha, ha) – good luck with the machine though. Also you have a veggie garden that is awesome. I love fresh veggies. Thanks for the information about the new cooking show on Lifetime. I need to make sure I check it out. Almsthere: If I didn’t welcome you before….Welcome to the thread. KityCat: The only thing that I can tell you is to not dwell on those pounds you lost and someone how regained with TOM. When TOM leaves you will see that weightloss return to the scale as long as you have been following to the plan. In terms of the TO with the oranges, I have not done it in so long but back when I did do it I remember the results were always good. I think next time I do TO it will be with the oranges though. Maybe we can all do TO that way and compare the difference. My hubby started the plan with me as well and it looks like he might have lost already 10-15 pounds. His face looks smaller and younger his skin also looks great. He seems to feel good too. He was on the LAWL plan before after he saw me lose about 70 pounds and he himself ended up losing about 60 pounds. Then of course we both allowed food temptations to come over us and we both ballooned back up. But this time we plan to lose and keep it off. Good luck on your trip to Vegas is it for business or pleasure? I myself have to go to Atlantic City for a conference in June for 4 days and I am not sure how I will wing it. I myself have never left my son alone not even for a day. I would like then to both come down with me but hubby can’t break away from work and my soon has too many days absent already to take for more. So I might have to cancel this year or figure out away to go. Cecil: I hope you had a great weekend when your friends were in town. Sorry I did not get a chance to ask you earlier. You are doing great…it seems as if you have a lot to juggle around and make sure you try to get some rest to avoid burnout. JerseyMadchen: We are thinking about you hope your move is going well. |
Hello everyone sorry I havn't been posting lately. Things have been going so crazy here over in my end. Trying to do some SUPER spring cleaning. So I can paint. Closets that have been neglected will be taken care off this weekend and I see many things will be thrown out and donated.
Work is absoulety busy, new processes and procedures being added, things to remember, helping other departments and keeping everything you do in order so you are not written up can be a challenge. But I must say I enjoy what I do. I also started a certification program online for a credential that I am going to need for work. So I have been falling asleep at the computer every night as I type. As far as my weightloss journey:I have ben trying hard not to miss any meals. I am not missing as much I used to before but last night again I missed 2 veggoe servings and as I am typing I noticed that it is almost 12:00 and I did not eat my protein bar which I was supposed to eat at 9:00 am. I bought that watch I was talking about so it can remind me when I have to eat. However, I can't figure how to work it. I know its easy I had my son do it but I can't get the hang of it. Yesterday morning for some reason I woke up with cravings. Cravings from my Dunkin Donut days. I wanted a breaksfast sandwich so bad. I was about to make one at home and then I said to myself let me weight myself. Usually I use this technique to say screw it and binge. Usually if I jump on the scale and it reads that I gained or stayed the same I would be upset and then the binging slowly begins. I tell myself it would be just for today but it would always be a lie. One day will turn into 2 days, 3 days then I would gain all my weight back. Since I know that I have been struggling since take off this was truly a test when I jumped on the scale. I couldn't believe my eyes but I could have sworn it said 200 pounds which means that I lost 4 or more pounds since my last weigh in. I quickly jumped off the scale in excitement. I didn't even check again to confirm what I saw. I ran in the kitchen put everything away and made my usual on plan breakfast. I will find out on my last weigh in date which is Wednesday, May 20th if what I saw was actually true. Just seeing what I saw made me feel that wow I can do this. It also gave me the encouragement to hang on in there when times get sticky. In that note I think I am going to go for a walk to the park. Have a nice weekend everyone! |
Kenndey that was great. i am sure the 200 was correct. you should be pround of yourself. any way to go on resisting temptation.
I myself lost 1.6 pounds which is great because i was expecting a gain as I have been off plan. I wil take what I can get. hope everyone is doing well and stays on plan!!! |
Happy Mother's Day!
To all those who are mothers, grandmothers, step-mothers as well as sisters and aunts who give that caring advice and nuturing to those little young ones who need it in their life.
Happy Mother's Day to you all! :encore: |
I finally did it
I didn't want to do it but I did it anyway. Boy did it take all of my will power to get my butt up. I finally went walking this morning. As hubby went to take the little one bowling I decided to take a walk. I thought that maybe it would be easier walking on the treadmill at home but I knew if I diid that as soon as I got tired I would get off. So I tricked myself and took my butt outside so I had no choice but to walk if I wanted to get back home. Are you asking if I am tired? OMG yes I am (ha, ha, ha)
|
Happy Mother's Day to everyone!
I think I have finally caught up on all of my sleep! I did not get much sleep last weekend on the DC field trip! I managed to get on the treadmill yesterday and this morning to log a total of 4.75 miles. I can't wait until the weather gets a little nicer, so I can go outside! Kennedy -- Congrats on getting your walk in this morning! I feel the same way during the middle of the week. I like to get my workout done in the morning, but it is so hard to get my butt out of bed. Nine times out of ten I stay in bed. Talk to everyone later! It is time to get in the shower, so I can take my mom and grandma out to lunch! Heather |
Good Morning Ladies of Slim Down
Good morning everyone! This weekend was absolutely beautiful I couldn't get enough of the outdoors. Today is my late night at work I will be there from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (very very long days). When I pack my food I have to cover breakfast, lunch, dinner and all my snacks. I am up very early this morning making a nice breakfast for my son and making sure he has a smooth morning (they have state testing this week). Also I wanted to ask, When is this challenge ending and the new one beginning? I want to see if I can do a TO if possible.
Okay I hear my tea whistling it is time to have breakfast....I will pop in while at work. Have a wonderful day ladies. |
Good Monday Morning to you all!!!
Kennedy- Great job on the exercise and getting motivated. Good luck at work and I hope you remember to eat all your food. Heather- Great job recovering from your trip and catching up on sleep. Also way to go on the exercise. Sounds like you are back on plan. Cecilia- Hope you had a good weekend and Mothers day. I am doing well. I actually started my new LAWL plan today. I will begin with Takeoff and then start the new plan which concentrates on Superfoods, smaller portion sizes, and more food options. I will be eating less straches, veggies, fruit and dairy which really does not bother me at all except for the fruit. As always I am excited to begin something new and hope I can follow the plan and see the scale go down. As for the new challenge we can start it at anytime. We could start next Monday May 18 and go until the 18th of June make it a 4 week challenge??? Any suggestions would be great. Also I was thinking with this challenge we could come up with 5 things to do this challege to better our lives and well being. So be thinking about it. Hope everyone has a wonderful and on plan Monday. |
Just when I thought I was doing so well....
Good evening ladies it is about 5:40 pm and I am still here at work. As I was standing by my desk looking at my computer some asked me
"Wait a minute, I didn't know you were expecting" :o I then responded "NO I'M JUST FAT" Helloooooooooo, you would think a woman would know better. I am sure she didn't mean anything about it but WOW! I hope this doesn't play with my head I tend to let things like this fester up in me. Let me breathe..... Well ladies I hope all is well and I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Believe it or not I am still tired from my walk yesterday but I am going to try to jump on the treadmill or stationary bike tonight. Mommyofsix: Good luck with your new plan. How do you have to stay on the Super Foods plan? Is this kind of replacing your numbered plan? I really like your idea about listing "5 Things to do this challenge to better ourselves". As far as when the Summer Slim Down Challenge will end. I am not sure about anyone else but I gave myself until Wednesday, May 20th as my final weigh in. I am not sure if anyone else gave themselves an end date. I don't mind when we start the new challenge. Monday, May 18th sounds good to me. Let's see what everyone else thinks. Maybe it would be good to start a new one soon. It will be a feeling of another shot at doing good sort of like a recommitment to ourselves. Well I will touch base later on when I get home. |
I would love to start a new challenge! I need to recommit. It's getting scary. Back to my old habits of eating good all week and then bad on the weekend. UGH!
Great job on being active Kennedy! Can't believe that lady what a BI! You obviously have been doing great! Do don't let it get you down! Amy M good luck on the new plan! You will do great! |
Good Tuesday morning to you all..
I just saw that the 3fc is going to a new server this afternoon which is great as some have had trouble navigating the current system. I think a new challenge to start the 18th is a good idea. I need some new motivations to go with my new plan. As for the new plan it concentrates on super foods Blueberries, oranges, spinach, turkey, whole grains, walnuts, yogurt and many more. The plan states that if you add these super foods to your diet it will impove your health and assist in loosing weight. Oprah has also had numerous people on her show promoting these foods. This is replacing the number plans. It is more of a combination of the colored and numbered plan (per my mom as I was never on a colored plan). It limits amounts and what combinations of foods you can have as well as amounts of food. The new plan is divided into 4 meals. They want you to eat something every 2 1/2 hours. So we will see how it goes. I am on day 2 of takeoff. Oh yeah, you do takeoff every 2 weeks. It is even built in the food diary. They are also promoting exercise and have a place in the diary for what type of exercise and how many minutes. Also they are majorly promoting the supplements, however I am not participating in that option. Kennedy- I can not believe someone would say that to you, some people just do not have common sense. I would not let that get you down. You have done so well and are so close to breaking into onderland I would try to use this as motivation to keep going!! Cecil- I know what you mean it is so hard to stay on plan on the weekends. I have trouble getting my water in too. I am going to try and do better this next month. |
Hey Ladies!! I am back form Vegas!! WOO HOO I was able to keep and maintain a 2 pound lose. Overall from takeoff and Tom with vaca, I think that is ok. Better than a gain. I ould love to do a challenge with you girls!! I am going to dells June 18th So I am totally in.
Kennendy: I think we should both do the take off again this week as it has been two weeks and try the oranges to see what kind of results we get. It's at least worth a try to me and it would cost less I would assume also! :) Don't worry about what that woman said, don't let it get you down. I would just shrug it off and look at what you already have accomplished!! You go girl!! Cecil: I barely drank in Vegas really just the first day I was there, I am totally going to do 30 days no alcohol. My goal is actually no alcohol until june 18th for my next vaca. I think for myself that will be part of my challenge. I need to slim my thighs down especially for the swim suit, and anywhere else possible, I have a month, I am totally ready. I am going to do the jillians 30ds for my workout routine. I am excited. So my days for TO will be wed and thurs of this week, and I will be trying it with oranges. Last time I did not have and soda, are we able to have diet on the TO, or is it best to stay clear when able?? :) |
Happy Tuesday to you tooo!
Hello ladies Kennedy here...Popping in to say hello.
Heather5: Hey lady how are you. I hope you enjoyed yourself when you took your mom and grandmother out to lunch. Are you in for the new challenge starting this Monday? Mommyofsix: Thank you for telling me about the new server. I thought something strange was going on but I thought it was my computer. I wonder if the Original Fat Chicks (the founders of this site ever thought that it was going to be as successful as it is). Good luck on the plan it sounds very interesting. I eat turkey all the time whether it would be ground turkey or turkey chops I love it. Also, I eat the lean ground turkey. I don't buy the Ground Turkey BREAST -- to dry and a little bit more expensive. I have been doing fine with the regular ground turkey. However, the center might insist that you eat the ground turkey breast. That is interesting about the 4 meals I found when I do the 5 meals I tend to have a pretty successful weightloss. The plan I am really suppose to follow is eating at 6:00 am, 9:00 am, 12:00 pm, 3:00 pm and then finally at 6:00 pm. But as I mentioned to you before I have been forgetting to eat with my day being so busy. But I think that is what is going to be my goal for the next challenge. To eat my 5 mini meals on time. Also, a get a little nervous doing take-off every two weeks. For some reason I think it will back fire on me. I guess it is because I never heard any of the LAWL counselors tell me I can do this. They only suggested it if I hot a plateau. But I guess it must be okay. Okay, okay I will step out of my little box called "Comfort Zone". Hey that sounded cleaver I think I am going to make that my weightloss MOTTO. Good luck with telling them no to the supplements I remember that they used to push these so much it drove me crazy half of the time. Oh yeah how is the "Biggest Loser" challenge thingy going. Also, just hearing you type ONEDERLAND automatically put a smile on my face. -- Thanks Also, since you are going to be doing the Take Off on a regular basis would you mind posting your upcoming Take Off Dates that way if we want to join you we can? Cecil: Yes you are right a BI. But I tell you what since that one comment I have had two people notice that I lost weight. Which is so awesome. Cecil thanks for putting some step in my pep. (I meant to say it backwards - lol) KityKat: Congratualtions on maintaing your weightloss over your vacation. Yes I am with you on the Take Off but I still am a little leary doing it so soon. Thursday would be my 2 weeks. Also, I have my final weigh in for this challenge on Wednesday, May 20th so I believe that I might do it the following day. I will catch you next time and we can do it together. And you are right I am definetly going to use the oranges this time. I have also substituted the Meal Replacement drinks with Soy Milk as it is less expensive as well. Thanks for the pat on the back -- You go girl too  I hear you girl about trying to slim down specific body parts. My upper arms are like Whoa. My mom is a size 6 petitte and small frame but she has these arms like a big woman. It looks like she lost but her skin never snapped back (well maybe because she is in her late 70's as well) but I hate to have this problem. There are so many purses I see that I want to buy but all the ones I like have a narrow purse strap and my arms don't go through. I have these plastic resistance bands that I think I am going to start using. What is "Jillian's 30ds"??? I was thinking about purchasing this exercise dance thing dvd called "Core Rhythms". Also, according to my Take Off sheet they do allow you up to 24 oz of Diet Soda per day. Let me tell you KityKat I was a soda-holic I loved soda colas especially and ever since I started in February I have not drunk any type of soda regular or diet. I used to be also a big Dunkin Donuts coffee drinker. I religously had twice a day "Dunkin Donuts Medium Coffee Light and Sweet" Then probably more coffee at work. I also have not drunk any coffee regular or decaff since February. However, because I miss the warmness I am very much into the Flavored Herbal Teas which mind you I couldn't even stand to drink before. I guess my taste buds have been changing for the better. |
I am so glad it is Wednesday.. Yesterday took forever to end. i finished takeoff and did very well. I was shocked that I was not as hungry as I had been in the past. I upped my green veggie intake and that made all the difference. i am hoping for a loss this week but as always TOM is here and he always seems to make me gain a little. I should weigh today but I will not get the chance. i guess I need to break down and buy a scale. But i am afraid i will become obssessed with weighing and drive myself crazy.
Kennedy- I think it would be ok to do take off again this week. My counselor suggested every 2 weeks as part of this new plan and she is also doing the plan and does takeoff every 2 weeks. But i understand your hesitation. The challenge is going well. My team the red team was behind but as of saturday with my loss brought us ahead 4 pounds. my mom is doing well she has lost and kept off 30 pounds since september which is really good for her, she wants to loose slow. Thanks for the information about Turkey as I love it but never prepare it. The 30ds is a exercise DVD by Jillian Michaels it is 3 levels each level increases the intensity and it is suppose to create maximum results in minimal time or so that is the catch phrase. I have never done it but do have 2 of her other videos and they are hard but seem to be effective as I have done better loosing inches rather than pounds. Also i think everyone is afraid to venture from their comfort zone so good luck to you. Kitycat- good job keeping your loss over vacation that really is an accomplishment. Also stopping alcohol will probably help you loose so good for you. Also let me know how the 30ds goes as i have been wanting to get that DVD To everyone else hope you ar having a great onplan week!!!! |
Kennedy: I did To two weeks ago on wednesday and thursday so I will be doing the same this week, with the oranges, it's ok if you want to do next week. good luck regardless when you decide, it's totally up to you!! Amy has already informed you of the 30ds which I have to say she explained wonderfully!! :) It is really hard, but gets better at first when I did it I thought I was going to keil over and die, literally!! I just stuck with it and overall I felt great about myself. After a while of doing it I felt liek I could wear any shirt of mine, sometimes I feel like I need to wear a certain shirt depending on how I feel that day bloated, etc. well I did not have that feeling, I hope that makes sense. (silly but so true in my eyes!! LOL)
What are some other things we should be focusing on during our challenge? For me I want to focus on no alcohol? I really think and hope it will help liek Cecil had mentioned to me. And I will continue to do the TO every two weeks and do the jillian 30 day shred DVD. I have also started ak ickball team that will start on Sunday (think I mentioned) So will a mixture of this I am hoping for great results for my wisconsin dells vacation with my family on June 18th, the dates are perfect for my little trip! I am soo excited WOO HOO !!! |
Ladies,
I am going to probably be a downer. I apologize in advance. I am having a real hard time staying on plan. I am majorly overwhelemed with everthing in my life and my diet is one thing that I don't want to have to monitor so closely. I think I have had it with weightloss, i am in it for the maintenance but I can't do this new plan they are implementing. A little backround I work a full and part time job plus go to school full time right now. My son doesn't live with me and I miss him imensely. My relationship is not where I want it to be with my BF. I need someone to rescue me! HELP! I want to be positive but it is soo hard. I just want to eat bad stuff and feel better. HA! I don't want this to get you guys down, I just need some positive reinforcement. And I know I can count on you gals. Hope you are all having a pop day! Love ya! |
Cecil- Look at how well you have done with you weight loss thus far. you are a weightloss rock star. If the plan is to much for you set it aside for awhile and just watch what you eat. it is very hard to work and go to school.. It sounds like you need to step back and look at the bigger picture. You are going back to school to better yourself. Get a better job and make more money, right? You are ultimately doing all of this for youself and your son. You may be missing him so much now, but you will spend time with him when you can. i know you are getting an education, loosing weight, working all you can to create a better life for you and your son. You have done so well and will continue to do well, just have confidence in yourself and try not to rely on food to get you though the tough times. As for yout BF i cant really offer any advice expect evaluate your relationship, see you think he is the "one" if not move on there are plenty of fish in the sea right?
Kitycat- I was thinking in the new challenge to implement things to help improve our lives along with weight loss, whether it is budget cuts, cleaning out a closet, planting a garden or whatever just things to change our lives for the better |
Cecil: I hope things get better for you? Are planning on taking summer classes or taking the summer off? It sounds like you have quite alot going on right now. I also work two jobs, and have two small kids not school right now, my hubby has two jobs and school so I know it rough. It's hard , I am thankful that we are able to get through our rough times, it's hard if your bf is the one it will work itself out. I wish you the best of luck, I would love to hear from you on the forum just to see how things are going even if it's not about weightloss. Good luck!! :):hug
As far as the oranges on TO is there any other options for fruit, I have not eaten an orange in years, and I am totally a texture person and I feel like gagging, literally when eating the orange, and I hate cantalope, I can tough it out but thought it couldn't hurt to ask if there is options available instead of the juice. Thanks much!! I work again tonight, it's been a week since I had to work late nights I am dreading it, but need the money!! I will check in tomor. Have a good night all!! :) |
Amy: I will put some thought into it. I would love to clean out under my stairs, that is a task right there I only have lived there a year but it would deff make me feel better clean out that storage I don't even know whats under there, and I will be starting a garden soon this year. So I will put some more thought into it and see what I can come up with this is a great idea!!
|
Just checking in today to see how everyone is doing?
Looks like everyone is busy?? LOL I am on day two of TO, are nuts allowed on TO almonds? I will probably just do another chicken salad with no dressing for lunch. I had chicken and green beans for dinner yesterday, Yummy! I am trying to think of what I CAN have rather than what i CAN"T so far so good. My sisters 21st bday is on May 30th I am still planning on not drinking, I think that will be one of my things to better myself for the challenge. No drinking for 30 days!! I will also clean out under my stairs of storage I think we are going to have a garage sale so that will help with spring/summer cleaning, And I'd liek to plant some flowers and a garden. I still need a couple more things to think of to committ to five things. I have already accomplished to quit smoking. So that is out. Maybe to eliminate soda or at lease try.....That' might be too much for me right now!! LOL I'll check back in later :) |
Hi ladies! I am feeling better today, thanks for the positive input!
I am all in for the new challenge! I will try my best with everything that is on my plate. I was actaully down today at COD WI. So that was good. It made me feel a little better. Since I had a terrible food weekend. I am at the lowest I have been since I started. Cat way to go with the goals! They are soo important. Hi Amy! Sounds like you like the new plan. I am a negative Nancy. I am not finding it as easy as they make it sound. But of course change is hard! Hope you have a pop day ladies! |
Cecil- i am so glad you are feeling better and congratulations are another loss. I have only been on the plan for 4 days so far no issues yet. It is very limited and has more restrictions than I am use to however I personally need that right now. i am hoping it will give me the push I need to start loosing consistently. It is not as easy or as exciting as they make it sound however time well tell about the weight loss.
Cat- You can not have nuts on take off. I am guessing due to there sodium content I would stick with lean chicken or turkey for takeoff. sounds like you have your goals all set up. My goals are: 1. loose as much weight as I can in 4 weeks 2. Exercise 3-5 days a week for an entire month 3. Eliminate drinking diet Mt. Dew 4.. Clean out my closets to eliminate clutter as well as for a yard sale 5. plant some herbs, a tomato plant and another apple tree to help with my switch to an organic food plan |
Way to go Cecil!! I am glad to hear you are on board and things are looking up for you :) You have made really great progress!! Keep up the good owrk you are soo close!

But I am down 12 lbs overall which I am pretty happy about! 8 more to go until my initial goal. Then I think I will do another ticker for 10 more and then I will be done! Can't wait to be 20 lbs lighter! I hope you all have a great weekend! Amy congrats again! Hi Cat! Where's Kennedy??? |
