Hey Ladies!! I worked later than normal last night and did not want to get my butt out of bed this morning. I had no time to prep, I am really down on myself today. But no go for the TO today. Def tomorrow tho. I am not working late tonight so I will have some time to get it all ready and prepared. I am SOOO excited though. Especially from hearing how great all of you are doing on it. I have been trying to keep my water intake up that is my hardest part. I know it should be easy, but it's not for me. But I am managing well. I'll check in later. Keep up the great work!! :)

I am tired of the food options as well. I was looking forward to breakfast until I remembered I am having a slim down shake... Anyway One more meal. I can definately handle that. I just hope the restriction shows on the scale and stays off. good idea about going to sleep early that would absolutely help.

Okay....Okay....I now I have been missing in action and I do apologize.
Soooo much going on at work, at home and at school. I was not able to start the TO neither Monday nor today. However, I have the juice and I will be doing it starting tommorow. I will weigh myself first think in the morning, post my stats and go from there. I am rooting for a 3 pound weight loss during the TO phase. After that for the next 3 days I will replace one meal with the Slim Down Equivalent Shake. I promised that I wasn't going to weigh myself until the end of the challenge but what the hay I will do it for this commaraderie TO event. Also, below I have a message for each of you. You ladies have been busy and it was quite a challege to read them all and to respond. Momof3kidos: Hello and welcome we love to have you on board. The juice that most of us are talking about is the 48 hour Hollywood juice that most of us are using instead of the LA Weightloss Take Off Drink which is either hard to get because there are not that many centers around or a little bit on the pricy side however it has tremendous results when you drink it and pair it with diet and excesice. Look through the different threads on the forum and you will see more information on it. There is a cool Search feature that I use all the time when I have questions about an ingridient, a food product or food ideas. The 48 hour Hollywood Juice can be found usually in Walmart by the Pharmacy section. -- Good Luck on the wonderful journey Heather5: I just wanted to say wowweee! You are quite inspirational. I long walk to the gym, a spinning class and miles towards home – All I can say is WOW. I might have to fly you to New Jersey so you can be my walking buddy. You are right about the Day 2 during Take Off I feel the same way about wanting to eat real food. If I do recall I think they had challenges where you would earn money towards buying their product and that was cool. I love the whole guest speaker idea and the organized walks I think that is great. Too bad no centers exist around me. You are right hearing these things about LAWL puts them in a different light for me. I never had a problem with them because I knew their plan worked if you followed it to a T. Thanks for posting the Slim Down Shake information I haven’t had a chance to compare it to the information I have or the shakes I have used very recently. Once I compare them I will let you know. Wow you walked 3.2 miles and uphill that is great. I will need to fly you in as well. So you can be my trainer. Bring the kiddies too I am sure they will have fun with my son. (lol). You are right about your comment about using food for comfort cause that is exactly what I do. And moving I think I lost a good 7 pounds when I helped my mom move 3 years ago – That is what I call real exercise. Don’t get discouraged, keep posting, we will all lose together, we are in it this time for the long haul. We are seriously going to kick extra weight in the butt for good this time. P.S. I think that is why I like the Take Off phase so much because people normally tend to lose and it encourages you to continue. Survived takeoff. do not have a scale at home so i did not have a chance to weigh this morning, however I will go to the center tonight to weigh in. I did well on takeoff did not cheat at all. However I also did not exercise much. I walked Monday and did sit ups last night. I just wish I could have gotten more exercise in. I am walking on Friday with two of my children. It is a event to raise money for a 3rd grader who has cancer. He is a friend of my son Daniel. The entire school (k-4) are walking laps. The children got people to sponser them per lap and 100% of the money will be given to the little boy for medical expenses not covered by insurance. My son volunteered me to walk. he actually told his entire class that I have been exercising lately so I will be walking the entire time as well as I will do better than the other moms. So I suppose if I have to crawl over the finish line I will make it the entire 3 miles. Each class only walks a mile, however I have a 1st, k and 3rd grader to walk with. But with all the smack talk from the 3rd grader how can I let him down...:twirly: Kennedy- good to hear from you. Good luck with Takeoff today. Just keep reminding yourself it is just 2 days. I am also doing the meal replacement shake. I had one for breakfast. The vanilla one. My mom said she puts strawberries in the vanilla shake and a little yogurt and makes a smoothie out of it. I may try that this weekend. I will let you know about the new plan They reveal it on 5-7-09. I usually only go to the center on Saturday so I will ask about it then. My mom said the counselor she goes too said it did include a meal replacement shake everyday and more protein less starches. They also will have an Exercise DVD to go with the new plan. Who knows, but I will be interested to see what they offer. Cecil- Hope you survived Takeoff. I know you have to be excited about regular food for today. Also I don't usually drink, but for special occasions like friends visiting you have to make exceptions. you have done so well the past 4 weeks. you deserve a treat. Hi girlies!! I have started the TO this morning. YEAH!!
Starting weight 180....Hoping for as MUCH of a loss as possible!! :) (anything is a loss right? it all counts!!) I am leaving for Vegas next Thursday mornign I will deff. tell Elvis (if I see him) that you say hi!! LOL Sounds like all of those who did the To, congrats!! I am on day one and so far so good. I did have rotissere chicken already for lunch. I ate it prior to ready how slaty. oops. I am also making chicken tonight hopefully that will go better. I don't want to discourage myself from that mistake I am going to continue the TO. I work late again tonight and I just remembered that we are having a recognition event tonight, they are having subway!! I NEED to make sure I am full when I go to work tonight I dont' want to be tempted. Other than chicken and green veggies is there any other filling food options anyone can suggest? Just thought it couldn't hurt to ask. :) Also, after the TO....I noticed some ppl talking about the meal replacement shakes. Is this beneficial. I have never tried. Kitycat- Good luck on Takeoff- :goodluck:besides chicken/lean meat and veggies i think that is pretty much takeoff. Drink lots of water would be my suggestion and what I do to get through. I do the meal replacement shake as it was recommended to me from my LAWL counselor to use a meal replacement shake to help keep my takeoff weight off. |

Overall is the goal still about 2 pounds per week? I would like to average 10 pounds per month if possible, just wondering what the average loss was? Thanks :) |
Kitycat- I do the meal replacements for 3-5 days after takeoff- it is a personal preference not a requirement. and you do not do them with takeoff.
I think 2 pounds a week is average. I think that is a healthy amount to loose. But for myself it usually fluctuates I have lost 2.8 one week and 8oz the next but in the end it evens out. Ask as many questions as you need. I certainly am still learning myself but I as well as everyone on here are willing to answer questions or atleast that has been my experience.. |
Cat I think Amy is talking about doing the Shake on the days after TO to keep her weight off.
I just started Weightloss again and out stats are pretty similar. I was at 178.2 starting 4/6 and I am down to 168.2 as of today. So yes about 10 lbs per month. Just stick to it and you will see the results! |

I was trapped on the highway yesterday afternoon for more than an hour and did not make it to the center to weigh. I really wanted to see the benifits of takeoff. I think now I will just wait until Saturday morning to weigh. I did very well yesterday despite the hour delay in the afternoon- I did see many fast food resturants and thought how easy it would be to stop but I resisted. I got home and luckily my husband cooked the spicy chicken I had marinated so I just had to get he salads together. Kennedy and Kitycat- I hope takeoff is going well. You both are doing great and can absolutely make it one more day. Cecil- how did it feel to get real food yesterday??? pretty good huh? Everyone have a great on plan day!!! |

I had a 1/2 can 7 up my tummy hurts and I have a horrible headache and I am stuck at work. Other than that I am doing ok. I weighed the exact same this morning. I hope I am not stuck here forever!! :?: Amy: I would like to know what meal replacements you recommend. I would like to try that maybe through the weekend that would be three days. Is it like slim fast or something? Kennedy: Day two for both of us how are you handling this?? I hope you are having better luck than me? No secret other than I have been following the express plan for the 1st 4 weeks and no alcohol. Which has been HARD! But it is doable. Plus all I have been eating is Chicken and Fish. HA! But it gets easier. And it makes you look forward to having other options after the fisrt 4 weeks. Hope TO is going well Kennedy I am sure it is! |
I think the no alcohol would be hard!! I am not an alcoholic, but I like to hang out with friends on wknds!! I should jump right in after Vegas!! I hope I get through TO!! I haven't really eaten yet, I can't stop peeing, even throughout the night!! WOW!! I think I had 7 bottles of water way more than needed but thats ok with me I really don't like water I am trying though. I CAN do this!! I keep tellingyself!! LOL

When I fisrt started LA I did 40 days no drinking. Believe me I like to drink. Especailly on the weekends... but I think it really helps to jump start the weight loss. I would try it!

We can do TO every two weeks IS that right or is it 4 weeks?
Cecil: I would love it if you wouldn't mind helping me get a game plan together. I see your ticker and I really want to get a boost, so I am willing to try it. I know that I will drink on vacation and really don't want to set myself up for failure. So I will start once I am back. If the To is 2 wks, then I can do one I am back and then do the express? Do I need to do the To before starting the express? |
Kitycat- they recommend using takeoff every 2 weeks. I use the LAWL slimdown shakes. If you do not use them I would use something low carb high protein ina shake form. I do not know if they help or not but when I do TO it helps me keep the initial TO weight off. Also it is easy to just grab a shake and go no meal prep or worries.
Cecil- good to hear you are doing well. You really have had an amazing weight loss in such a short time. like I said earlier LA should put you on a poster.... Kennedy- good luck with day2 of takeoff |
Amy: the lawl centers closed so I am not able to purchase the meal replacement shakes here at all. I was hoping to find something at the store that did not taste like crap! LOL

When you get back from Vegas you can do a TO and then express that will give you a pefect junp start. I just started express and then about a week before I was done I did TO. But that's just because I hate TO. HA! |

Mommyofsix: Thanks for wishing me the good luck on my TO journey. Also, a big whooora goes out to your husband who had that chicken ready for you when you got in. It must of been great to be able to just eat right away after being stuck in traffic for so long.
Cecil: Good job on the weightloss 2.6 is a great result. Good luck on writing your paper. What are you going to school for??? KityKat: Don't worry too much about the salty Rotisserre Chicken they are delicious and they are protein so drink lots of water when ever you have it and you will be fine. Meal replacement shakes are great if you want to mix up your food plans. Mommyofsix typed in the nutrition facts so just copy them down and go to any store walmart etc... to see what they have their that's equivalent. Filling foods on Take-Off I don't know of any except proteins and veggies. I would bring food with me just in case the temptation comes. And exactly as Mommyofsix suggested fill up on the water. Also, you and I seem to be doing TO together -- Yeah to us. From what I remember meal replacement should not be used during the TO phase. As far as the healthy weightloss per week I think it is about 2 pounds. I believe that is how the counselors calculate how many weeks your program is going to be they base it on the 2 pound a week factor. I am hoping for a 10 pound per month weightloss as well. You are not alone KityKat what you are feeling is withdrawl I went through it many times before but it will pass. I also weighed myself on the scale this morning and I was the same weight and today Thursday is also Day 2 for me. |

Okay so this is the SECOND day on TO for me. I have been doing pretty good. I ate a lot pf protein yesterday but not enough veggies. Today I had the same amound of protein and veggies so far. I am still at work trying to finish some things up. I would love to take a day off next week. We'll see...
Today I woke up very sluggish and I woke up late. I didn;t have enough time to prepare myself some type of breakfast so all I had was lunch so far. After TO I plan on doing the Meal Replacement Shakes for three days. I did it last time. I was also planning on using Soy Milk instead of a meal replacement. If I drink 16 oz. it is considered one protein. I might try it to see how it works. It is also less expensive as well. Okay ladies I have something absolutely funny to tell you.... Yesterday I am washing the dishes and as I am pouring the dishwashing liquid on my dish cloth the Apple Scent Aroma from my Palmolive dish liquid sent me in some type of frenzy. I started to have a fit because I remembered ice cold apple juice "Snapple Apple to be exact". I also started to day dream about everything apple "strudels, turnovers, pie...." I was losing my mind. I started to laugh because I couldn't believe that just that smell alone made me trigger and almost fall of the wagon. So today I picked up a new dishwashing liquid "Dawn" the original blue soap scent. (ha, ha, ha). I will check back with you guys later on today. Tommorow is my weigh in. |

I had turkey burger and green beans for dinner, just need little more water and the rest of that juice, I am starting to HATE the juice. I am so bloated feeling. I am not sure if it's the water, that time of month( I am actually 4 days late and very worried!) So I am hoping for a loss and a monthly friend by toorrow. FIngers Crossed.

Good Morning Ladies!
It is Friday and I jumped on the scale to weigh in and I lost "ZERO" pounds. Maybe I didn't enough or drink enough water. I must say both days I was going good with a lot of protein but some reason I could not get myself to eat enough vegetables. Then I also realized that I forgot to eat my 2 eggs both days. I am not sure if any of these things contributed to the "ZERO" weightloss. I have always had success when I followed it to a T. I have been feeling a little crummy this morning and today. I hope I am not coming down with something. Also, I expect it might be that time of the month (TOM). Also things have been kinda crazy at work, home and school I guess I am feeling worn out.
Well I will continue to eat POP this week. I am making a promise to myself that I will not miss a food portion. I will also use a meal replacement shake for one of my meals for the next three days. I was also thinking about getting a watch that has reminders on it so I can remember to eat. Sometimes get so busy and I don't feel like I am spacing out my food the way I should. Hello Everyone! I hope everyone is doing well TGIF and I mean TGIF in a big way. Today has been just crazy all day long. I feel like I am losing it in terms of patience. I think I need to talk to HR about getting some mental health days (ha, ha, ha) Working in this environment can be quite challenging. But I love my job.

Enjoy your trip to Maryland -- I think that is what MD stands for (ha, ha, ha) Cecil: Thanks for the well wishes and have a good time with your friends this weekend. Mommyofsix: You are right it must be TOM. I feel so irratable that it is not even funny. But you made me laugh with the candle story. You guys really now how to make someone feel better. Also, once I leave here I am heading to Wallie-World (Walmart) to buy that watch I was referring too. Because it happended today as well. I got so caught up that I didn't eat my food on time. My breakfast was rolling into snack time, snack time was rolling into lunch and lunch is now my PM snack. I am hoping with a wrist watch stop watch thingy maybe it will alert me when it is time to eat. Boy am I difficult or what? (ha, ha, ha) KityCat: We are thinking about you. Ladies....enjoy your weekend and what ever you set out to do. May your weekend go by real sloooooooow so you can enjoy every minute of it. P.S. My DH is also trying to shed a couple of pounds. I am so excited. He was on LAWL a couple of years ago and did fantastic. So fantastic that he looked like a different person which I wasn't to crazy about but he was happy. Then of course just like the rest of us he gained it all back and then some. However, when he lost he lost quick and I am sure it will be the same next time. |

Mommyofsix: I know it is frustrating, but hang in there! What plan are you on? I am currently on the purple. I know when I started someone recommended me to start of the Red Plan. I lost a first and then stopped dead in my tracks. Then I said well let me do the Purple Plan and that was it as soon as I switched the weight started to go down. So good luck when you talk to the counselor. Let us know what they recommend. |

Hi Kennedy! Did you have a good weekend? I was off plan this weekend. I didn't eat that much. But it wasn't on plan. So back on plan today... I didn't WI today because I had an appt and didn't hagve time. So I guess I will just wait until Wednesday to WI. We tried a few new restaurants this weekend and they were amazing! Where is Cat?? I don't know how healthy I will be able to eat the next week and a half with moving and all. I am just planning on taking my vitamins every day and getting my water in most importantly.
