On the new plan, 3/4 cup fat-free, sugar-free pudding (made from skim milk) is a dairy. At the grocery store, all I can find is either fat-free or sugar-free, never both, in the little single-serve cups. So, if you're going to do this POP, you have to buy the Jello or whatever brand and mix it up yourself. Yummy treat!

yes, that is exactly what I meant......thank you. I edited it to avoid any further confusion

sf jello is the one that can be counted as a condiment. I do not recall how much they say you can have.......but to be honest.....I always ate as much of it as I wanted and had no stalls. I haven't had any in a long time.......just might have to go make some now

Default lite alternative

fyi:
I have found an alternative to the lite bars available here in Ontario(Canada)((for all of you who are geographically challenged((lol))). These bars are available @ Zehr's in my area, and are called Presidents Choice Carb Watch. They have 1g sugar/15g sugar alcohol, 17g protein, 5g fiber and 250 calories. I realize the calories are a little higher, but the protein, sugar and protein numbers are superior to the lites by a significant amount. Here's the kicker: the cost is 3/1.00, or 33 cents each!!!!!!! That is a real bonus!!

Funny, I was told that the SF/FF pudding does not count as ANYTHING on this program -- it is not allowed! Isn't it funny how all of the COD's are different and inconsistant???

Based on my own personal experience, I would advise caution with any product containing sugar alcohols. While they are definitely better for you than straight sugar, those alcohols can wreak havoc on your digestive tract. No permanent damage, but watch out for extreme bloating and gas. I have learned that I have to just stay away from the sugar alcohols altogether. The side effects, for me anyway, are too uncomfortable.

Maybe I am a "by the book" person; but I believe the program was written tihs way for a reason. Thats why I follow it as and not make "substitutes" that aren't sanctioned by the center.
Or ... maybe I am a sucker!

What plan are you on, Lucia? I find it odd that sf pudding is not in your plan, although after thinking about it, I recall that the old color plans did not list it.

I'm on Gold w/Lites and my COD just told me on Friday that I can do the SF/FF pudding that I make myself with skim milk. 1/2C counts as 1 dairy.

My plan has pudding made from skim milk/fat free/sugar free - 3/4 is one diary...I use jello pudding ... I freeze it; take it out of freezer for couple of hours and eat it partially frozen.....soooo good!

Lucia that sounds soooooo good. I'm gonna have to give that a try!! Strange how the COD's give us all different ways to count things. Who knows what they are thinking so long as it works!!

Regarding the different information from corporate versus franchise COD's - We are now dealing with two different companies and two different programs. When we post, we really need to include whether we are using a color coded plan or a numbered plan. This is the best way to insure that we are giving or receiving incorrect information. That is my two cents......
