I just did the take off last week and with much success again (2nd time). I lost 8 pounds on the take off. The plan is basically unlimited protiens: Chicken, fish, beef etc. and also unlimited green veggies: lettuce, cabbage, greenbeans etc. Along with 2 oranges a day or the take off juice.
I am also on the red plan and I do get 3 fruits a day.
I did weigh in today and lost 3.5 pounds. That makes a total of 31 pounds for me. 13.5 since last monday! It really boosted my spirits.
I fixed my post for the red plan. I completely forgot the fruits!!!
When I first started I did the "Jet Start" for 3 days.
It includes:
Unlimited proteins (meat, poultry, fish)
unlimited raw, green, salad veggies
2 eggs or 1/2 cup Egg Beaters
2 glass of Take Off drink (or two oranges I guess??)
8 eight oz glasses of water
1/4-1/2 tsp morton light salt
you can have limited amoutns of artificial sweetner, diet soda, coffee, tea, hot fresh lemon water, seasons (no sugar or salt)
you may also use butter, margarine, or oil in preparing your foods
use oil and vinegar or lite salad dressing on your salads
(note....all of this came directly from the jetstart sheet on got in August of 2001)
Congrats to both you and your husband!!! WOOHOO
I have no idea what the men get to eat. Maybe you should ask your counselor (just out of curiosity) if the plan is different for me.
Hi Everyone:
I am still having a tough time but I am doing better this past couple of days.
I stilll have not lost the weight I gained from Christmas but I am ready to deal with. The cheating bug was getting the best of me.
Jibbelle do you remember when you mentioned taking birth control with the tri-max, that they don't work well together, well guess who found out the hard way. My center also does the plateau break also, but they told me only for three days. I guess each center is different.
Marcie great job. Feels good doesn't it ?
Lorrie glad you are doing well with the program.
It is supposed to snow tomarrow, the manager said to make sure I get there early she said they would be open, I will see what happens tomarrow.
Has anyone tried the vegetarian plan ,the councelor was going to show me the plan but she forgot I was a bit curious.
Have a good evening
Diane

I was thinking of asking about the vegetarian plan. I was vegetarian for about 5 years and I am eating way more meat than I like on this plan. I would really prefer to have poulty or fish 2-3 times a week. I wonder what you eat for protein on the vegetarian diet....legumes, peanut butter, eggs, cottage cheese?
I am going to weigh in tomorrow morning. If the site is up I will post then. *keeping fingers crossed* I know it has only been a couple days, but I hope this plateau break is working!
I just went to the center. I was down 0.4 lbs. Not much, but I will take it! Maybe finally I have broken my plateau at 247. Guess I will know for sure next Saturday.
Hi Jibbelle:
No I am not pregnant, I really do not need to take birth control but I wanted to have a more regular cycle and it messed me up instead. My husband has problems that I won't get into, if he knew I was saying this much he would have a fit. I feel he should talk more about it then he does.
I had a hard time for a long time getting depressed and gaining weight and it is really his problem not mine, even though it does involve me his problems should not effect me physically.
I went to weigh in today also, people go a little nuts when they here snow is coming, a lot of traffic.
I am going to do the 2-day take off starting today hopefully it will get me passed this mess that I made for myself.
I forgot again to ask about the vegetarian plan again.
Does anyone know when the gold plan starts I can't remember but I thought it was 185?

Hey ladies. I have been reading to posts but just haven't been feeling up to posting.
I gained this week. Not sure how much, 1lb or so. I didnt want to know. I knew it was coming. But today and yesterday I am back OP. Doing good, got over 1/2 of my water in today.
Jibelle - It's good you had a loss. Do you all have a digital scale? We use a doctors scale.
Lorrie, that is a great loss, keep up the good work.
diane- you can do it. WE both can do it!! Keep up the good you have been doing for the past couple of days.
When I first started our center had a doctors scale. A couple months ago they got a digital scale. It is not like something you would have in your house though. The scale and the readout are seperate with the readout mounted on the wall. It is hard to explain. I really like it though. Some of the women that worked at the center couldnt use the doctors scale very well!
