Diane-
I think I am going to wait and see how I do this week. If I am not down by Saturday then I am either going to do Take Off or ask them to switch my plan from Red to the next one down (purple I think). Just have to wait and see.

I have never done the two day take off. I have only done the take off once and that was the three day when I first started the plan. I dont really like doing the take off. Do you get LA lites when you do it? I can not remember.

Default wasn't getting my updates

Hey ladies. i just thought that you all weren't posting. I didnt get my little email reminders. I missed a lot.

Well, I haven't weighed since Wednesday. So if I go by that weight I did make the 2 lb challenge, but I think that I probably gained some of that back.

The past couple of days I have done horrible. Today I am back op. In the past month I have bought a house, I have also been trying to conceive since March 01. I have been quite anxious lately, (boardering on anxiety attacks) and have been down. So I eat instead of dealing with it. (I'm a therapist, I should know better Anyway, I am determined to get back op today and the rest of the week.

I hope all is going well today for everyone. I guess I need to check the website more often instead of waiting for my updates.

I will post tomorrow after weigh in. Talk to ya later,

Crystal-
I know they had some database problems the end of last week, so maybe that is why you didnt get the email reminders.

Congrats on making the two pound challenge! Sounds like you are busy with the new house. I know how that is! I bought my first a couple years ago. At the time I was traveling from MO to GA every week for work, so I wasnt even home to enjoy it! Sure is good to be here now though.

Crystal:
I have not been getting E-mail reminders for a while. For the past couple of weeks I think.
Jibbelle do you still get them. You are allowed 2 lites a day on the two day take off, but not fruits or starches and the protein is only 6oz for the tow days.
It sounds like a few of us our having the attack of the muncies, so this week that is my goal to stick to program for the week without cheating.
Have a good Sunday

I never signed up to get the email reminders. I dont need anything else in my inbox!

The first time I did the take off I didnt get any LA lites. Having 2 per day would make it a lot easier.

MarcieW....Great job. I will let you know how I do, I weigh myself on Fridays. So far I am doing good as can be...lol My husband is doing good also, I know he will lose more and faster being a guy, but that is okay. My starting weight is 236 now. Bummer cause I had been down to 202. But I will get it off.

I got in and weighed yesterday. I was up 3/4lb. But I still made my challenge last week. I am now 181. I lost 2.5 last week. My goal is to get in the seventies this week.

Does anyone else have a goal? How is everyone? I guess the site was down for a while. I had trouble logging on last night.

Gotta get ready for work.

My goal for the week is to just be down!!! I have been stuck at the same weight since before Christmas. If I am not down Saturday when I go in I am going to ask to switch to my next plan or maybe do takeoff. I am supposed to switch at 239, but I am pretty close to that. Maybe my body knows it is time!

Have to wait and see how I do though. I am not cheating at all this week...so far I have been really good!

Default LA weight loss program

Hi Everyone!

I am new to the sight. Am excited to have found the support. I have been reading all your postings and am very encouraged. I also am have been on the LA Weight Loss Program and have had some ups and downs. I lost almost 30lbs the first 3 months and then the holiday season hit and hit hard! I gained back about 10 lbs and have been back on the program for 1 and 1/2 weeks now and have lost that 10.

I do have a question. Does anyone know if it is a necessity to buy the lite bars? They are so expensive. I see similar products in the grocery store that are half the price.

Brennie-

Glad you found us! The more the merrier. I have seen some soy based, high protein bars at the grocery store that had the exact same calorie and fat content as the LA bars. They were almost half the price. I think these would work fine. Actually....I think you could do great on the program without the bars at all...but I NEED the chocolate fix!

I went to the center to weigh in and was at the same weight that I have been at for almost 3 weeks. I asked her if there was something I can do and she suggested the "5 day plateau break". I thought that sounded interesting....so I said sure! Well...you still follow your normal plan, but you get NONE of the following: limited foods, free foods, frozen or fast foods. You also have to increase your water to 10-12 glasses a day. I am going to try it starting tomorrow. I will hate not having limited/free foods like salad dressing and cottage cheese.

How is everyone else this week?

Hey everyone!!

Well I started the week off not so hot! I haven't worked out in 2 days and am going into withdrawls! I am getting ready to hop on the treadmill now.

Jibbelle, don't get frustrated!! You will start losing again!! You can do it!!

Brenda, i chose not to buy the bars and they told me if I didnt start they would kick me out of the program...so good luck! Let us know what they say!

Honey, Great job on the loss!! My goal for the week is to get out of the 200's. I weighed this morning and am down a pound. Hopefully by Sat. I will be in the 190's. I am trying to do these little goals and then I have one big goal.

So is everyone up for the 2 pound challenge this week? I believe we lost 7 pounds as a group last week. Let's go for 10!!!!!

Hope you are all doing well. REMEMBER YOUR WATER!!!

Marcie-

10 pound loss for the group sounds great!!! I was at 247 on Saturday, so we will see where I am this Saturday!

If the centers are resistant about you not buying their bars tell them you bought a case of bars on Ebay in order to save some money. There are lots of people selling them there all the time. They will never know the difference!!! I know, it is a lie...but a little white lie?

They never said you had to buy the bars from them...only that you will follow their plan!

Jibelle/Marcie

Thanks for the reply. Well i don't remember seeing it written anywhere on that contract we signed saying we had to buy the bars! But I prefer not to get kicked out now that I am back on track and also need that chocolate fix. Tomorrow I weigh in and will ask about it will also have to check out e-bay. Am very surprised that they sell the bars. Hoping for a 2 pound loss tomorrow but will take anything. Will let you know.

Take care
Brenda

Question take-off and food plan please

I cannot find my written food plans....I would like someone to post the 3 day take-off (i remember it had to do with eating all the protein and 2 oranges a day) and the red or gold eating plans. If you would rather e-mail them to me privately, i am [email protected].

I have lost a great deal of weight and I'm slipping slowly...so I need to get this information asap.

Many thanks.

Njsonja-
The Take Off they do now has nothing to do with oranges. I will have to hunt down my paper and get back to you.

Red Plan-
breakfast
1/2 protein, 1 starch, 2 veggies, 1 fruit

lunch
1P, 1S, 2V, 1 F

dinner,
1P, 1S, 2V, 1F

also 1 fat, 1 dairy, 1/4 tsp salt, and 8 glasses of water.

Good luck getting back on track!!! How much did you lose and how long ago? If you dont mind me asking.
