can anyone tell me how you would count the snack sized popcorn, the ones that state only 100 calories on the box? would that be the 1 starch since we are allowed 3 cups of popcorn now on the new plan?
Thanks
Stacie
I count it as 1S...and do the same with all of the 100 calorie snacks. I don't know if it's "legal" or not, but I eat one pack of snacks/day and it hasn't slowed down my weightloss. I really LOVE the Keebler Chips Deluxe...they're nice and crunchy...a great afternoon snack for me.
wow thanks girls, I was wondering I love popcorn I figure I could have this as an afternoon treat, but wanted to make sure,
Emmysmom the Keebler Chips Deluxe what are they I have not seen them here in Canada at all?
Really one is 1S? I have them but only had 1/2 a bag because it says each one makes 6Cups and 1S is 3Cups of 94% fat free popcorn. Am I doing it wrong?
the popcorn that I get is the microwave ones and on it states snack size, only 100 calories, and there is probably only about 3 cups in it, so yes this is one starch.
I need…crunch…I need savory. I am tired of sweets. I like brownies and I like chocolate cake, but these are not things I would eat every day even if not on lawl. I am eating two bars each day plus fruit and that is plenty (if not too much) sweets for me.
I am still on the old plan, updated only for the glycemic index, and popcorn is not listed that I can find. I need a crunch so much that I’d be willing to use the snack packs as both of my starches. I am supposed to use breads with 35 – 50 calories as my starch, but there is a lot of fiber in popcorn so maybe that will help. I am running this by my center today, and if they say ok I will go to the grocery store on my way back to work. Popcorn will be my afternoon snack.
I am on the Blue Plan with the glycemic index and there is not popcorn allowed. I will be happy to hear what your center says and I'll ask mine. I agree that popcorn would be a great treat. Someone here in the office popped a bag the other day and it smelled sooooo good.
I read these boards every day, don't participate much, but want to thank you all for your motovation and information.
