I hit 199 on Wednesday... I didn't say anything because I didn't want to jinx it!!

Since, as Liz alluded to, we're doing Italian tonight, I'm thinking I may have to work my a$$ off to keep it under 200, especially with the Denver trip coming up. I have an idea a few more liquid starches than usual will be consumed..

The good news for me tonight is that with lunch today, my starches are all used up, so I won't be able to get a big starchy bowl of pasta.. Looks like grilled chicken caesar for me again..

Nicole - I'm guessing my DD's updated picture isn't helping your "fever". Sorry, LOL!

Kristen - Good job on passing up DQ! I'd get the boob job... you and your DH are not likely to lose those!

Katy - that's a great loss! Good job!

Nicole - I want to hold the babies too and kiss the little baby cheeks and feet.... *sigh*

Dan and Liz - Have fun tonight and enjoy every noodle and crumb!

I don't know about the gain I'm showing on the scale... It gives a different weight each time and varies up to 10 lbs. I have to get on it several times to figure an average weight. I've been trying to go on that but I think the darn think is just screwy. I just got it a little over a month ago too.

Liza, My scale goes wonky when the battery is getting low. If it isn't consistent how can you know if it is reading high or low. My scale is actually really consistent and very much agrees with the COD, so I don't really have to wonder what the COD is going to say, and obsessively weigh myself in different outfits... Hey some clothes add an extra pound or two. And I want to know and not depress myself over heavy pants.

Dan, I hope I didn't jinx you! I'm so excited for you. Congrats! and although your before and after picture was already a wow.. the over 100 pounds is also a major achievement and you should be proud... Less than 5 pounds left to go.

I'm finally done with the humungous list of tasks that needed to be finished before I could leave (or I've talked someone else into taking on the ones that I didn't get to which is almost as good) So my boss said I'm free to get out of here... I think there is some liquid starch and a hot tub in my immediate future!

Thanks everyone for all your help I was able to figure it out without having to tell my husband my weight, maybe at some point I would be comfortable with my weight and I can tell him. When we met I was 130 then I got up close to 200 and then I was diagnosed with hyperglycemia and I was put on a low sugar high protein diet and got down to 140and when we got married I was 118 after some serious crash dieting, so needless to say he has seen me at my lowest and my highest and he still loves me imagine that!!! I am the one that is not comfortable in my own body. Maybe someday I will. Thanks again.

Barbara - thank you for suggesting the battery! I feel like such a blonde.. I thought it was a lithium battery which is why I didn't go for the battery right away. When I saw your message I remembered it's not the lithium one I was going to get.. so I went to Target and got a new 9 volt for it and voila! It works! And it's right where it should be.. I didn't gain weight after all! Yay for me! Mine is pretty much in line with the COD one too (when the battery works)

Well i did it! I went out to dinner w/family and had success. They had an option on the menu of a cottage cheese fruit plate. Guess what I ordered. YOu betcha cottage cheese fruit plate. it was a better choice than the roast beef commercial etc.

Good morning..

Good for you, amy2liz30! That takes real gumption to order the cottage cheese and fruit plate when you go out, with so many choices.

Good for you bcandance on the workout. I need to get back to working out, heck, even daily walks would be good. Yesterday and today I'm not feeling well at all. Headache, fatigue and tummy upset...blech. Overeating isn't an issue...not eating enough is. Suzette

ok..i went to WI today and was down two pounds....it doesn't effect my ticker but i keep gaining and losing these same two or three pounds. She did my measurements today and since the end of June I have lost 9.5 inches total. And while it doesn't seem like I'm losing like I did the last time on this I guess I'm doing okay. Now if i can just keep from going back up for WI next week! Ya'll have a good day! I have baking to do today for the church dinner tomorrow....I ALWAYS get assigned desserts! I've made them for years and years and NO ONE will hear of me bringing anything else......now to keep them out of my mouth! LOL Later!

Howdy all....it has been MONTHS since I have posted. To be honest, I have lurked occassionally, but life has just been so busy. For all of you who don't know me (my guess is that is most of you), I am Michael (from Minnesota - near Minneapolis, but thankfully do not know anyone impacted by the bridge collapse). I have been doing LAWL since January and have lost over 63 lbs...the last couple weeks have been a real struggle with a lot of flutuations of a pound or two in both directions.
I am committed to making this thing work and have at least 53# to go.
I have not been around here much because life is just too dang busy - work full time (crazy # of hours), have two kids, SO, in school getting my MBA...etc. I just often times find myself too busy to do anything but work, eat, and sleep!
The past month has also been complicated by some major home remodeling, so we finally just got our kitchen back!
I don't recognize many names or faces, but wanted to stop in to say hello anyway -

Dan - you look FABULOUS!

Well, that's me and my current story. Hope all are well and doing well with plan!

Happy Saturday! - Michael

Happy saturday!!

Has been stormy here the last 24 hours. Beautiful one minute and then thunderstorms the next. Just finished a small one again and warnings still exist for tonight.

I have a friend who is going to be a weight loss buddy with me starting on tuesday. She isn't going to LAWL but she is going to follow the basics with me. We are going to send each other daily our menu plans over email to critique and help with and just be there for each other. So that should be good. I work with her so we will be able to touch base in person each day as well.

Today got a surprise message this morning that I could go see the furkid so I was off over there for a few hours and then over to the friend's house mentioned above for a little bit. Now back home and trying to figure something for supper that doesn't require a lot of cooking. Too warm to turn the stove or oven on for too long.

Was supposed to have a bonfire at another friend's house tonight but that got cancelled due to the storms. Maybe next weekend.

Hope everyone had a great day.....

Hello everyone, hope your weekend is going well. Here in MT it is very smoky, but at least it is not as hot as it has been.

I have been on the ‘new plan’ (plan 2) for just about one month. In that time, I have only lost 6.2 pounds. On the old plan(s), I was losing an average of 3 pounds per week. Maybe the combination of the new plan and 100 degree days is the cause of the slower loss, and I hope to start catching back up soon!! Although, I did only sign up to lose 36 pounds, and I am 3 pounds from that goal. I plan on trying to lose more, down to 140 (or until I feel really good about myself). I got measured yesterday, and have lost 14.25 inches since May. I am FINALLY in some size 16’s, where I was in 18’s and some 20’s. Yea me!

Have a great rest of the weekend!

Liza you had me on the floor!! I had to show that comment to my DH and he was laughing as well. Thanks for such a good one!!

Micheal.. SO GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK!! We're glad you are safe and congrats on the 63lbs.. thanks for touching base.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend. We had a busy day with the kids.. one full of joint tantrums so we were quite relieved when it became bedtime last night! I've been having the same yearnings as Mama Nicole for one more little baby but days like yesterday have me rethinking fast and furious!
We have a babysitter tonight so hoping to get out for a little break and of course some healthy eating! It's a long weekend here so we'll be taking the kids all over today and tomorrow to keep me busy, in the sun and tire them out

Hope you are all doing well and look forward to catching up next week!
