Pinch me, I must be dreaming.
Just checking in. Congrats to those seeing results. I'm doing well & and not feeling hungry. I'm having trouble eating 1800 cals, which is SHOCKING for me. Could this be too good to be true?! Let's hope so :D AnnOtto, DNR, Tweety, Shayz, Channning, Wendy, Betterra, MomsCooking: You all started about three weeks ago...how's it going? Just curious about any challenges you might have had and how you dealt with them. I'm just a few days in and want to be prepared for what might be 'round the bend. Mommyto3: Thanks for the info on the book - I was wondering about it, too. Bobbijene: Thanks for the nutritiondata.com site! Good stuff. Carrie123: Hope your weigh in went well - what "reward" did the Alli site give ya? Steph618 - Hello! We started at about the same time. How's it going? Aces67: Sorry to hear you're not seeing the results - and you're being so good with the low fat meals, too. Are you exercising? Seems to be a key ingredient to this plan. I've not been taking the time to workout lo these many years, so I did a couple of things yesterday: Signed myself up for tap lessons (Ha!) twice a week at the community center, and ball machine tennis lessons (Duck!), once a week. Two things I used to LOVE to do. Champagn & YummyMummy::bravo: Thanks for all your great, inspirational posts, Bobbigene, SASCS, debalina, ThinGirl, Umagirl, Phoenix, Cygnss. |

I'm about 3 weeks into using alli I know I lost 4 pounds so far, but because of the shock of 10 extra water pounds from my TOM I'm not going to weigh myself until next week.
I do have good news...lol I finally saw the oil slick in the toliet yesterday. I know it's funny because it means I was being bad, but I'm really happy because I wanted to be bad just to make sure it was really working. and it was. It wasn't a lot of oil, but enough to make me happy lol I have a headache right now. I know Alli can give headaches, but I've been on it for almost 3 weeks. Why am I getting headaches now? |
Headaches
Sakai: I don't know why the headaches happen. I wonder if peeps go through fat/sugar withdrawals. Maybe the body has to adjust. Dunno - I had a few light headbangers yesterday, but they've since went away. Hope yours do, too.
Here's to losing four pounds - HURRAH! -Bren |
Update
Hello again everyone! I hope you all are well and enjoying your weekend. I just wanted to check in and give my update....day 5...2.5 pounds lost...no TE's...I need to work on excersizing more...have done better than I expected with the food....lots of praying to God for strength. This pill really does make you think before you put something in your mouth...I mean, how often have we just sat and ate something out of routine, boredom, or on a bad emotional day...without even thinking about it. It's an accountability partner...it lets you know when you are doing wrong, just not so gently! :D
Great job to everyone for sticking with it and doing such a wonderful job of motivating others. You could actually be saving lives while trying to better your own. This is such a great group! Ant Bee...it is SUPER hard to eat the 1800!!! |
I'm doing OK thus far, have lost about 9lbs so far. Honestly I am very surprised that it is that much since I haven't been eating quite as healthy as I usually do. My fiance moved in about 2 weeks ago (we had been doing the long distance thing while he finished up his tour in the Air Force) and we bought a house so we have been moving for the past 10 days. With all that going on I have eaten out several times and really tested my 15-19 grams of fat a day. Luckily I haven't had any treatment effects <knock on wood> and my appetite has been down.
So long story short, I am pleased with how Alli is doing for me. So much so that I bought a bottle of 150 pills while I was at Costco today since I was down to less than a weeks supply. For those of you that want to try it, I still highly reccommend that you use a site like The Daily Plate (which has an Alli support group) or Fit Day so you can track your calories and fat. Glad to hear that the rest of you are doing well! |
Well, I had a headache today - it came on after lunch (took Alli) and persisted all afternoon, I even still have it now. Could be just a coincidence but I can't even remember the last time I had a headache.
Tonight I went to a function at my hubby's golf club, it was a buffet - thank goodness, because the pre plated meals are a nightmare for me to deal with. The buffet is much easier, I had some shrimp, one slice of roast beef, a whole wheat roll, some salad and some marinated veggies (artichokes, olives, peppers) There were sooooo many things there I would have loved to have had, lasagna, paella, potato salads, pasta salads, desserts - so I was pretty good with my self control. It's getting easier not to overeat, I feel satisfied but not stuffed to the gills and uncomfortable. My weigh in is next Saturday, hoping I have a good week and stay focused. |
Started Alli nearly two weeks ago
 Hi, I started taking alli 10 days ago so far so good !! My mum lost masses of weight on this last year and has still kept it off, I am very overweight and was starting to get really down so I thought I'd try this,
I lost 5 pounds in the first two days !!!! but nothing since so far, but my clothes feel very loose, I am looking at everything I eat which makes this work for me, I have had no side effects as yet, daren't push it ! I am an ex slimming world consultant so I really should be able to just diet? but it really doesn't work like that unfortunately, I think the best thing about Alli is that it is like having a slimming club leader with you 24 / 7 telling you not to put that in your mouth! I have never felt really hungry and am so excited to be losing weight again, I hope this stays off this time as I have lost five stone twice in the last 8 years and put it all back on again and more, I'm sure there are many of you who know what that feels like, If I can help anyone out, I'd love to help and would love to have some support too :)) |
Hi Cazie5, welcome to the Alli-gators :)
Was your Mum on Xenical last year? as Alli is a new product. Good luck to you for continued results, 5 pounds is a great start! |
Hi everyone,
I lost 3 lbs in my first week. I am so happy about it since this was the weight I gained on vacation. I can't believe I lost 3 lbs even though I was not always careful. Bev |
I bought a George Foreman Grill yesterday, and tried it today! I posted some pics here on this thread. (thought it might help people eat lower fat meals) :)

Thanks for going to all the trouble, Thingirl. The meal looks yummy and inspired me to break mine out today! Turkey burgers!
How often to you weigh in? Is it monthly? I don't know how you do it. I have a really hard time staying away for a week. |
I have an older grill I will have to get it out and starting using it again. The veggies look really good.

Well my headache lasted for almost a whole 12 hours. But after a good 8 hours of sleep it's all gone now and I feel so much better.
I still haven't weighed myself. I want to so bad but I'm just afraid of what I'll see. >_< |
