Kim-I don't think I could do TO for more than 2 days. The FF is much easier-if II'm hungry I can munch on deli turkey or something . . .

Kimphin 01-16-2007 03:39 PM

Ah, true - must be the lack of calories.... draining my brain.

Sure-but what's your excuse when you're not doing TO?

Kimphin 01-16-2007 03:48 PM

:D Work

KrispieD 01-16-2007 07:12 PM

Okay gals and men.. we are in the home stretch! Let's hope we see some results.. I am so excited about my 'regular food' day tomorrow.. I'm going to get up at 4:00am just to drink my slimfast.. okay maybe 6:00am. Have a nice Lemon shrimp stirfry planned for dinner and a fabulous bagel and cream cheese for lunch.. WOOHOO.

Congrats to all of you for enlisting in the Slimdown Bootcamp.. here's to our great losses!

Miss Hawthorne 01-16-2007 08:16 PM

Krispie,
Can I just copy your menu every day? That sounds delicious...are you on the gold plan? Yum. Is the shrip stir-fry in the cookbook? If so, I need to splurge on that sucker!

Made it through TO ok. I don't get all of my veggies in and i know that's bad! I am going to make a chicken salad for dinner and eat it with a delicioso clemintine. I am going to be sooo tired of citrus fruit when I get done with this!!

Off to mail some save-the -dates! Good luck to all on your final hours!!

Kimphin 01-16-2007 08:17 PM

mmmm... food I can chew!

I suppose that it's possible that I could break into a new decade after this TO, but I won't get my hopes too far up, gotta wait that day after to see where the loss settles!

KrispieD 01-16-2007 08:22 PM

Lara good job! I've had a few requests for my menus so I'm going to try to send a few days into the Menu Thread tomorrow.

Kim if the TO doesn't do it the next 14 days will, we've got 10 of Slimdown, a regular day, regular with carb craver (can I have an AMEN) and then another TO. I will be happy not to see chicken breast for a while!

PS Went down a cup size in the Fun Bags whilst shopping yesterday so DH is in mourning!

Mama Nicole 01-16-2007 09:11 PM

Kristen...........don't worry about the funbags!!! It all balances out.........and DH must be LOVING your enhanced confidence, if you know what I mean. My DH loves it when I feel good about myself......he says it makes him feel good.....all over ;)

KrispieD 01-16-2007 09:12 PM

hmmm makes him feel good where LOL!
You are too cute to look at!

Makena 01-16-2007 09:40 PM

LOLOL You 2 crack me up. Isn't it true though? More confidence=more fun.

I'm sooooo hoping I don't lose anymore in the "funbags." department. :o

bizlawchik 01-16-2007 09:51 PM

Lara - By the way, WTG with your losses last week. I see you had the highest loss for the red team in the TBL challenge!

Made it through TO ok. Having Slim Fast for breakfast, Kashi and Almond Breeze w/blueberries for lunch, some celery and salsa for a snack, and then we are having grilled shark for dinner. Yummy! Can't wait!

Stay strong girls, only a few more hours.

Barb316 01-16-2007 10:06 PM

Well day 2 is gone. I did not cheat once! I am so happy. I actually felt really good during this!

I am having a Slimfast and 1oz cheese tomorrow for breakfast, 4oz yogurt and strawberries for snack, salad for lunch, 4oz yogurt for snack and I am making chicken burgers and butternut squash fries for dinner.

Mama Nicole 01-16-2007 10:16 PM

Alright ladies........looks like everyone has kicked butt on TO/FF. I will soooo be enjoying my breakfast tomorrow :) Best of luck to you all!!!

I second that!!:)

By the way, I will give a whole-hearted AMEN, Kristen!!

Congrats Lara!

WTG on being POP Barb!! Bet it feels great.

I didn't cheat this time, either. I honestly think it was knowing that if you guys could do it, then I could do it, too. There is something to be said for strength in numbers.:D

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 06:24 AM

The ultimate TO loss...
This is BNHS (butt-nekkid home scale), but Monday morning when we started TO my scale said 206.2. This morning it is 199.4! WOO friggin' HOO!

dolphn545 01-17-2007 06:30 AM

Cassi - WTG!!

Barb316 01-17-2007 08:00 AM

WTG Cassi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I lost 3lbs. I will take it. I am happy that this worked this time. It was a great help to have support in this!!!!!!!!!!

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 08:06 AM

I'm looking forward to my apple in a few minutes. Wow... never would have said that a year ago!

KrispieD 01-17-2007 08:34 AM

I'm off to WI and then home to enjoy my slimfast. I've taken the advice of dear Cassi the guru and I'm going to alternate the shakes between lunch and breakfast for the next 5 days. If I can I'll get the Lemon Shrimp Stirfry posted today so it's there Lara and also for those that still haven't planned their meals for the next few dins.. so if you see frozen shrimp on sale, uncooked.. buy some!

Cassi.. WTG..now run to COD and get them to weigh you lol!

Kimphin 01-17-2007 08:56 AM

BNWI had me down to 210.8 this AM - which is -3.2 from Monday! Did not cheat once during this TO either, which is a miracle!

Congrats to all for making it through phase TO!

I will RUN to the COD to get this documented!

I had an apple, and 1/2 bagel with cream cheese this AM, and boy was it yummy. I think that that is the real purpose of TO - to make you happy about the plan... and woo hoo, am I :D

Kristen - congrats on the loss of some fun baggage. Sounds odd, but you know what I mean!

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 09:02 AM

MMmmmm.... 1/2 a bagel! Maybe tomorrow instead of Kashi w/Almond breeze I will have an alternative bagel w/laughing cow. Thanks, Kim!

Kimphin 01-17-2007 09:47 AM

OOh, I wish I could find Alternatives here... I was EYEING that other half this morning, let me tell ya!

Barb316 01-17-2007 10:08 AM

I wish I could get alternative bagels here too......

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 10:10 AM

You poor, poor girls! Is it worth it to order them online?

Mama Nicole 01-17-2007 10:16 AM

Good morning ladies........

First of all.......a big WHOOOHOOOOO to Cassi. I am super excited for you. WTG! And Kim......and Barb......and Rhonda........and Kristin........everyone.........you all did fab!!! I don't know that the &&*^ happened to me, but I started at 196, yesterday, I was 194.8, and my BNWI this morning was 195.6. Isn't that odd???? I have to admit, I AM a little pissed off. I have never had such bad luck on a TO. Well, I am not giving up, I am just a little pissed off.

Also........RHONDA, what happened to your pretty picture??????? I loved your avatar!

K, have to locate my boys.......I"ll be back though :)

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 10:23 AM

Nicole - Don't forget... we're only on day 3 of our 16 day challenge. Still plenty of time left! Don't worry about the TO results. Just hang in there and you will see great overall results.

hdsqrl 01-17-2007 10:31 AM

Whoa, wow, Cassi! WTG!!!

emmysmom 01-17-2007 10:32 AM

Congrats to all the losers!!!!

And yeah on making it through TO!

Don't feel bad, Nicole. I weighed myself this morning and stayed exactly the same since Friday. But I'm telling myself that it's because I'm building muscle from exercising. My pants are feeling better and my husband says he can see my hips and thighs slimming...so I'm just going to keep chugging away.

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 10:33 AM

I knew I was retaining junk from all the meds, but I didn't even lose that much when I first joined LAWL.

A big thank you to Deb who reminded me that I may retain water in addition to other issues from the pain meds. You helped me not go crazy during this time!

Makena 01-17-2007 10:41 AM

Way to go, Ladies - We survived!!!!!:carrot:

Cassi - What a loss!! I don't know how much I lost on the actual t/l. I weighed in yesterday, and had lost 2 since Friday, though - so thats enough to keep me happy for now:)

Kim and Barb- you must be pleased with your losses, too!

Nicole - thats a bummer about the scale, but like Cassi said, we are basically just out of the starting gates, so there's lots of time to see those losses pile up!

I actually took my scale and put it in the closet last week because I have this unhealthy compulsion to stand on it everytime I'm in the bathroom (which is alot these days with all that lemon water!!) I'm trying to gauge my success on how well I've stuck to the plan rather than what the scale says, and surprisingly, I'm seeing better results even ON the scale at the COD. (I go in the full 3 times a week - it helps to keep me on track.)

Well, I'm going to go drool over my kids' breakfasts - I have to wait about another 4 hours for my breakfast. I can't even drink my water. What torture. Boy, that slimfast shake will be soooo good this time..lol

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 10:47 AM

Rhonda - GL with your blood work. Enjoy the slim fast. Mine was heavenly! And I even forgot about the string cheese. I will have to have that with lunch.

Mama Nicole 01-17-2007 11:09 AM

I must have missed something somewhere..............Rhonda.......you are having bloodwork done? Is everything ok? You cannot even have water??? What is that all about?

My HS must be possessed by the devil. When I first woke up this a.m., it said 195.6.......like 40 minutes later, after 2 cups of coffee and my slimfast shake, it said 195.......so whatever. I don't usually obsess about my scale, but I really have not had a net loss since the middle of December, and all I can think is, what a huge waste of 4 or 5 weeks. It's time to make some flippin progress, ya know.

Cassi.........still so thrilled for you. It is sooo tough to hang in there when the scale isn't moving......thanks for keeping me grounded when I am really wanted to say &**^ it! :)

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 11:18 AM

Nicole - I've been there. I had a major "slow down" at 25lbs. Be patient. It's a waiting game. Remember the saying that you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar? Give your body honey, not vinegar (not literally!). Be nice to it and reward your body with healthy OP foods, and a yummy flavored tea. Your body will reward your kindness.

Makena 01-17-2007 11:41 AM

I am sure hoping that those shakes taste good! I haven't heard anyone say otherwise, and I am kinda picky, and have a strong gag reflex (which is actually why I'm going for the scan) I have to fast from midnight until my test. It's where you drink some yuck and then they do a scan of your esophogus/throat/whatever.
In the summer I started having a sensation like I was wearing a tight turtleneck sweater or a really tight necklace or something, and it has worsened to the point where sometimes it feels like I'm pushing at that spot on my neck where it makes you want to gag. This might be TMI, but it gives the sensation that one gets just before they vomit...:dizzy:
I don't know what they are checking for, but hope they find something quick.
But on to nicer subjects....lol
We are all gonna kick butt on this challenge together - I can feel it. No one gets left behind!!:D

Barb316 01-17-2007 12:14 PM

GL at the Doctors office.

Kimphin 01-17-2007 12:45 PM

Wow Rhonda - that sounds uncomfortable. GL with the tests. Any food tasted great today, I thought, so hopefully your extended wait will be worth it.

Official COD had me down 2.4,which I am thrilled with. I'm going in again tomorrow, though, for my post TO WI, which usually is a slight gain. We'll see.

Cassi - Having one whole bagel is totally worth it to me to order online - I'm such a toad, why haven't I done this before!?! Thanks- I'm gonna go look now.

Nicole - Don't say &*&$%@#@ it! Your body has had a little 'rest' and now it is time for it to shake it and move along (that's what I've been visualizing)...

I've just had my slimfast, some spaghetti squash, and my cheese, and I'm very full... the stomach is thinking....hmmmm.... what do I do with all of this?

Barb316 01-17-2007 12:51 PM

Kim Way to go on your loss!

bizlawchik 01-17-2007 12:54 PM

Kim - WTG!

COD visit has me officially down 3.6. Monday morning the home scale showed 206.2. COD WI @ noon had me at 204.8. First time it was EVER less than home scale. And this was the time I wanted it to be normal! Anyhoo, home scale had me at 199.4 this morning, and COD WI was 201.2.

I am a happy, happy girl! High as a kite, one could say. (oh wait, that's the vicodin...)
