I got my lunch packed for tomorrow.

I am going to do this with oranges instead of juice. I think mentally having the oranges will make me feel like I am eating more.

Breakfast: orange and a luna bar
snack: orange
lunch: 3oz shrimp, celery
snack: orange and a luna bar
dinner: salad w/3oz grilled chicken
snack: orange

I am saving an orange for the after dinner dessert b/c I like to have a little something after dinner.

I always save something for after dinner too, Barb! Here's my tomorrow:

B - 2 oz chicken, juice
S - spinach, raw
L - 2 oz chicken, spinach, juice
S - Lite, juice, spinach
D - salad w/ 2 oz shrimp, juice
S - lite

I'm ready for the next few days too! Target had the slim fasts on sale, and Florida pink shrimp was on sale too!

After TO, I have decided that since I am not too hungry in the morning, I will have my slim fast then with a fruit, and then I am having my kashi w/blueberries and Almond Breeze for lunch, and then fish and veggies for dinner.

I am doing shrimp Mon and Tues, grilled mahi w/pineapple Wed., grilled tilapia w/lemon wedges Thurs and shrimp and stir fry veggies w/teriyaki sauce and... THE SCARY SHIRATAKI NOODLES... on Fri.

Cassi, I just got the Almond Breeze too so thanks for a fresh idea.
I had to LOL and think of you as I turned on the TV tonight and Forest Gump is on.. it's an omen for us!

I am good to go for tomorrow too, ladies. I will be doing FF, as I can't eat the lites :(. I will use oranges. I bought some slimfast at Aldi yesterfday, and I am good to go. I have blue hake, cod, and shrimp in my freezer. We are going to kick some butt! I am READY!!!!

good morning ladies and gentlemen,
I am new to this site but not the diet. I did the diet about 3 years ago and lsot 30lbs! but unfortunatley they found there way back. anyways i was going to try this challenge however i can seem to get my will power in check, and this am i had a brownie:( .
i was hoping maybe some of you fine folks might have some helpful insight!!
need to get these lbs off again!!! PLEASE HELP!!!

Remind yourself of why your lost the weight in the first place, and all the reasons you have for losing the weight now. Write them down. Read that list out loud to yourself. (Yes, you may think it's crazy, but it works.) Put that list on your refrigerator, the kitchen cabinet where the snacks are, on your bathroom mirror. Put them in ALL of those places if it will help.

Look at our Daily Reason thread and add to it.

Focus on "Just for today, I will stay on plan." If today seems too much, tell yourself that just for the next hour you will stay on plan. Break it down into ten minute increments if you need to.

Treat yourself to a yummy hot tea. I've been liking the Lipton Vanilla Caramel Truffle with a packet of Splenda. It's warm and fills your tummy. Plus the new flavor brightens things up.

Your successess will build on each other. If you've made it through the first 10 minute increment, add to it, and add to that. Now you've been on plan for 30 mins. Double that and it's an hour. Before you know it, you will have an on plan day. And one on plan day makes it easier to have two, and so on.

Last tip... when you feel like you may stray, come here and read and post. There is always someone around to help.

I, also, have survived the dreaded TO. I found it odd that I got a headache. I usually do not get headaches with a TO. It could have been the hammering and sawing all day long. My remodel is going quite well. I was a dog, and ate a burger from Steak and Shake last night at about midnight. It was so easy to do.......LOL. Of course, it put me up a pound this a.m., but I am feeling ok since I made it through TO (so far anyway). I hope you all had great success today, and if you were anything less than POP, tomorrow is a new day to be the huge LOSER!!!

Hi All!
I too, survived TO. It seems a little easier this time - but it is soooo hard when the kids are eating pizza and samosas. I didnt get home from work until 6:30 and was soooo hungry. I nearly had a bite of pizza, but I resisted. (that might just be a first! LOL). I cannot wait until Wednesday. Sadly for me, I won't get to eat until about noon.:( I have to fast for a lab test that will start at 10am.....Bright side is that LA approved food will look very appealing by then!!:carrot:

Day two is here! How are we all doing? Are you counting down the hours til real food? Day 1 went by pretty good. I ALMOST grabbed the sf jello in my fridge and said, NO BAD GIRL and shut the fridge door. I then made a cup of tea w/no splenda or anything. :)
Well, we have 1 more day!

I survived day 1! I was stir frying my broccoli and shrimp and ALMOST reached over and grabbed a french fry that DH had pulled out of the oven and had rested on the other side of the stove. It was almost automatic, just reaching for a "taste". But I stopped. Oh yeah, and when I went to eat my lettuce at lunch, I realized I had forgotten my salad spritzer. So I just ate the shrimp and a lite later that afternoon, and then had my salad when I came home. But you can bet that the first thing I put into my lunch box this morning was the salad spritzer! :)

Going to the store tonight to pick up some almond breeze and mahi for tomorrow. Lookin' forward to food! Hope everyone's day 2 goes as well as day 1.

Day 1 went great for me, it seemed easier this time, too. I use Knudsens, but still dilute it with some water (I know- weirdo...) but this time I used sparkling water and it was a nice change. I actually looked forward to having juice.

Cassi - have salad spritzer, will travel! I keep one in my little fridge at work because I always forget too. Enjoy your shrimp AND salad today for lunch!

Good Morning!!

Does anybody else thinks that the Knudsens Morning Blend is way sweeter then the COD's juice? I find it so sweet, that it's hard for me to drink it without thinking of all that sugar I'm pouring into my body...

Anyways, I'm trying to do the Slim Down Challenge, I'm just a day behind.... But I did stock my freezer with Slim Fast, forgot to buy the LF Cheese sticks. Would it be ok to use DS's cheese sticks? They are higher in calories, I think...

Nancy - Not only extra calories in regular cheese sticks, but fat too. The cheese stick is to compensate for the 50 calorie difference between LA Slimdowns and SlimFast Optima, so if you have to, you could have half of DS's cheese stick.

Well, day 2 is here, and I am a moron...lol. I think I would have a tough time shoveling the driveway at the best of times, but I think during TO was a little ambitious. I am soooo weak right now. I'm sure once I have lunch in another hour or 2, I will be fine, but what a dumb move, but the snow was really heavy in our driveway....
Hope day 2 treats you all well!!:)

Kim - Thanks for the pointer about DS cheese. I think you are very much correct. I may skip it altogether, though the protein in the SlimFast is considerately lower then the COD's SlimDowns.

Nicole - Glad to see you here. I was thinking about you when the news this morning was talking about the ice in Missori, and St Louis in general... Hope you and yours are safe and warm.

HOW LONG TILL TOMORROW!!!

I am okay actually, just got in from teaching and had my Lite and cantelope this morning and headed for some chicken and broccoli now, then shrimp and zucchini for dinner when girls go to bed.
I am SO excited about tomorrow.. I may set my alarm earlier just to get up and eat LOL! 4:00am sounds good.
I would LOVE to have salad but no salad spritzers for us here in the north.
Kim I'm going to send you a money order for a care package.. throw in some tortillas, Mint and Snickers Lites, and some spritzers and ICBINB for me.!
Just think gang.. we are 3/4 of the way done.. I have to say it was SO much easier for me to do it this time knowing how many were on board.. thank goodness we have two weeks off before round 2 of TO so let's enjoy every healthy, OP bite of it!

Hey ladies! So far so good-I actually decided to do a 3 day FF instead of TO since I don't do bars. It's much easier on me-and I don't notice a difference in the amount of weight I lose than when I used to do TO.

So-I hate lemon water-do you think it still works if it's in chamomille tea? It's the only way I can get it down without being miserable.

JM.......I was just thinking this morning.......I wonder what would happen if I did a 3 day FF? Now that is just plain creepy. I am not going to do it at this time, but I did wonder what the results would be.

JM and Nicole - I was thinking this morning that TO was going well and maybe.... just maybe I could do it for 3 days. I don't think I will though, because I've got the week planned out, and I would worry that halfway through Day 3 I would crack like Humpty.
