Down here in the south we have ceiling fans instead of chandeliers. When they're on and moving, it makes things much more interesting.

JM - quick synopsis... Cassi's still got back trouble due to her gymnastics on the bedroom swing, don't mind her posts, she's jacked up on Vicodin.... Kristen is kicking butt and taking names at LAWL and has landed her name on the 'people to avoid' list at corporate because her COD has no lites and the one guy that delivers to all of Ontario is not due there until next week, and DAMMIT SHE WANTS SNICKERS LITES!!!!! And the rest of us are hoping to God that this slimdown challenge works!

Is this a program that LAWL has? I am curious b/c I want to know if I should write it in the journal this way or not. I am looking forward to doing this.

Albertson's just had a BOGO last week on tilapia so I loaded up. |
That sounds good - I'll try that too.
Thinking back, I can say that I have had more success when I bring more fish into my diet... lately I've been chicken loaded. |

Cassi.......I LOVE mahi mahi....I don't know if I can get it around here, but my grocery store will order things for me......duh..i forgot. Ok, so when I went to COD yesterday, I got the one chick who has done LAWL and is really helpful, and I asked her about bringing recipes in so she could submit them to the LA chef for me, and she said they no longer have access to the la chef. I go to a corporate center. Do you think this is right? She is the manager. Oh, I have to go...................so much to do......so little time :) |
OH, and Kristen...........go for the red bra either way...........DH will have one of his best Valentine's Days ever!!!!!

Nicole - She also said Haddock grilled was good. Anything that was on the second fish protein list. Anything with the bigger portion... shrimp, tilapia, cod, etc.

Okay one more question! I got my Slimfast Optima shakes today but forgot string cheese.. I think you said yours are 50 cals.. It is advised to have these to add to the Slimfast so it's comparable to the Slimdowns? I know we are on TO on Mon/Tues so I should be able to get some by Wed.

Thanks so much.. I told DH I lost 5 1/2 inches around bust and he said 'you're shrinking your rack'.. we have to get the men together to figure out what all this means and come up with a common dictionary of lingo for men! I am SO going to enjoy my food this weekend before TO on Monday and if I can have white fish, including my shrimp and scallops etc I'm all for doing those for our Slimdown days..bring on the shrimp Forest Gump! |

My gal said she'd deny okaying it but.... to add the string cheese to make the protein more comparable to the slimdowns--I think the protein is the key to keeping hunger at bay.

Okay.. here it goes.. I say we all crack open our frightful bag of shiritaki noodles and make the veggie pie Cassi posted today.. I'm going to make it Friday night.

Enjoy your last two days of FOOD!!! Real FOOD!! I've done my journal for the week, got my cantelopes for Mon/Tues, have my Slimfast chillin in the fridge and every dinner for Wed-Sun is using shrimp or fish! Just need to grab some cheese strings and I'm good to go! Lara way to go on the wedding dress.. You've got just over a month so no worries.. looking forward to seeing it! I'm going to eat my lunch and relish every bite of it! Rhonda I found the Shiritaki noodles at Whole Foods Market. they had an expriry date of May 07 so I bought for bags.. hmm something with a shelf life that long that we are putting in our bodies!! |
I am going to start my menu planning soon and I will go to the store to get what I need. I just am trying to figure out if I want to do it with oranges or juice.

That dress is beautiful. I bought mine on ebay. I tried it on in a store and fell in love with it and found it on ebay brand new for 150 dollars cheaper. We got the bridesmaids dresses at Davids though.

Kristen - we don't have whole foods here..:( I'm sure I will eventually find those pesky noodles! Will you share some of your menu ideas for the week? I'm soooo not creative, and could use some help! I'm working on my menus for the week, and then I'm going to go shopping to get the rest of what I will be needing. I'm glad we have a good group of friends to tackle this challenge together!:) |
Do you have one of the cookbooks? I went through it and planned out my menu with it. I decided that on the Slimdown days I would have as my other protein chicken one day, shrimp one day, beef one day and so on and then created my menu based on flipping through and finding things that I would like to eat or try. Also, I chose different salad options for lunches. This way I am trying all the different recipes in my cookbook.
You could do this also with the recipe threads too. :) |
