Talking Friday

Can't believe this week has gone so FAST!!!! I am up 2 lbs because I have been eating way too much this week and next week doesn't look good as my daughter and family will be here so that means cookies, cakes and much more food than normal. I will try.....

Am getting my 3 x's/wk at exercise in and will get a couple in while they are here and the weather is suppose to be beautiful after Tues so we can get to the beach, walk and be outside more.

I am noticing that I feel very sluggish if I overeat any more so I know that means this eating plan is working. Does it affect anyone else like that?

Got to run, exercise today then work and then off to spend a fortune at the grocery store for my company....

Have a great week-end everyone. I won't be able to ck in much next week.....will miss you guys!!

Phyllis

Have fun! Treat the kids to fruit and veggie treats, too!

Today is starting well. I am totally off caffeine and still functioning- who knew? We are going to a steakhouse for dinner tonight so I am trying to be good all day- their filet mignon is my favorite but it is huge...

I feel like I need the weekend just to get my house in order. I've been actually using my kitchen and it looks a little worse for the wear!

Lafayette, get the filet mignon, cut it in half, and ask the waiter to bring you a take home box right away. Then you have lunch or dinner for tomorrow too. I love steak -- it might just be my favorite food.

Phyllis, serve the kids popcorn, grapes, sliced apples, and other stuff you can have. Sugar free jell-o is great - kids love jell-o.

I caught a cold from my DH - woke up this morning with a super sore throat and fever and I stayed home from work. I'm going to take a shower here in a few and watch TV from the couch.

It snowed in Denver last night -- we only got a couple of inches, but I hate the stuff no matter how much it is. Now the sun is out and it looks cold out there.

You take all the fun out of restaurants LOL! I'll do that. I think I'll puttogether a steak salad for lunch tomorrow. This was my favorite lunch at the Artful Dodger when I lived in Philly:

1" chopped romaine lettuce
sliced red onion
garlic vinaigrette
thinly sliced medium rare filet

I think there may have also been tomotoes... I need to go back!

I'm like that too. Especially when I eat greasy foods like KFC! It's terrible. It makes me feel extremely sluggish and I hate that feeling. If only, it would prevent me from eating it again a few months away. So the plan does work! Eating healthy does make a difference! And our body hates being fed greasy foods or just too much food!

Milwaukee is like Philly with newer buildings, less crime, and colder winters. Oh, yeah- and more beer at a much cheaper price! People also react differently when I say certain f-words...

Daisy- I will definitely tell you when I'm in Philly. I think that is a trip best planned after I've lost some weight. Between Jim's Steaks and Yuengling, I will have to buy an extra seat on the plane home!

I had to move home because my "no 'yo'" policy was preventing me from getting dates! I just couldn't bring myself to kiss Rocky! Don't be offended- I'm currently surrounded by big farm boys who end every sentence with, "Ya know?"! I'm not so sure I traded up!!!

Man...

Girl - you are so in the dark! LOL...

Bunco is a dice game. It is a very simple concept - and very easy to play. It is designed to be a more social game - no real need to concentrate... I play with 7 other girls - we have so much fun - it is unbelievable. Once you get a good group you become quite close - it really is a lot of fun.

PS: I don't find YOU appalling - I am just so blown away sometimes that it never occurred to me that there might be a place where people have never heard of Yeungling beer. It is brewed in the anthracite coal regions of PA. Once a coal-cracker - always a coal cracker!

And I can't believe there are people who buy any other kind of cheese but Tillamook! My aunt moved to Michigan for a few years and had her mom send it to her because she won't eat any other kind. - and their ice cream is to die for!
Tillamook is a town on the Oregon coast. it boasts "The Tillamook Cheese Factory" Simply the best........
