Default Off topic discussion: Disney World

Ok ladies I am trying to plan a trip for my family to go to Florida over Thanksgiving and I am so dumb founded and don't really know where to start. Anyone ever been to disney world or any of the other surrounding parks? We really want to go to Sea World but I just dont 'know where to begin, what hotel or anything. Wonder if there's any packages out there I can get. I am just at a total lost. Anyone out there help me out ?!?

Laurie, I am an "Unofficial Expert" on planning WDW trips for great prices. Send me a PM with details - dates, # of people, ages of kids, price ranges - and I will get you going in the right direction!

Well Laurie I live 2 hrs. south of Disney World......if you are a member of AAA you can get savings on tickets to Sea World and Universal. Disney doesn't have discount tickets any place I know of. You can do Sea World in one day if you start early....it is a nice place.

Disney takes at least 2 days.....Universal you can do the theme part easy in one day but the section with all rides.....I don't know depends on how much you ride and play.

Epcot, at least I don't think, is not for the younger children.....it is more adult themed.

They all have 1 day, 2 day, 3 day....passes to buy. If you are going to do 3 days at Disney that would be the best deal.

Tons of hotels in the area, staying on Disney property is pretty expensive but there are so many about 1 mile from Disney and they have free shuttles to the parks....so keep that in mind.

Hope Sharon can find you a good deal.....going over a holiday get your room and car booked early.....we always go in Dec. and it is not real crowded and they have great deals on rooms. You might check the time share resorts that rent for a week if you are going that long...they have a kitchen.
