Default Hi Cruisers

Hi Cruisers,
Just want to introduce myself to all of you. I am Laura, 51 yrs young, and need to release 65 lbs. I decided to try Jorges plan because when I saw him on TV show "EXTRA" it sounded doable for me. That was June 30th. I immediately checked his web site out and became a member that nite. That first month on the plan I lost 5 lbs which for me was good because other diets I would YoYo around on. This plan is easy to follow and I found myself staying with it for once. Then I became sidetracked because of my mom being in Nursing home.
I visit her allot. But somehow I was able to still lose and i was down to 211 from 220 lbs. This encouraged me to restart the plan. I started back on it last week and I really thot it was neat because I fit vanilla ice cream with hersheys syrup in my daily plan. It felt great being able to eat the things i liked and still be on the plan. I am thinking I'm going to lose 2 lbs this week so imagine my shock when I get on the scales and see it up 3 lbs. The only thing I can figure is the ice cream was not the 1/2 c serving I journalled. So I remeasured and it was more like 1 1/2 cup. So I decided no more guessimates with ice cream. I premeasured 2 portions for next week. I would have been fine but then I got a wrong attitude and because I was mad at myself I binged the rest of the week. So where am I today? I do not know because I won't get on the scale to see the damage. Where will I be? On the
3 Hour Plan tomorrow..Wish me strength and determination and back at you
Take Care Laura

glad to have you aboard,

he also has a book too 8 mins in the morning, it's work out routines, very simple needing no equipment, and it helps to lose weight quicker, but i love this new change of life style for me, i don't want to call it a diet. it's helped alot even getting my husnband to eat healthier,

Laura:

Welcome and good luck. Which group do you post on at the JC site? Do you know that this group originally started on JC site. A few of us are still there (we post both places). Come say hello at Lifetime Cruisers at JC site.

Hang in there - we've all been there - not liking the weight gain and then binging the rest of the week because we gave up. But you have a great attitude - you are ready to start again. Good luck this week. You'll do it - I can feel your determination.

Hi Laura - welcome!!

Those measurements can be a real eye-opener. It takes a while to get aclimated to the program, but once you do it becomes habit. Make sure you are getting the right quantities of foods - weighing things definitely helps get you on track. I know when I measured out 1/2 spahetti - I laughed Now I am used to it and plan lots of veggies around it.

You sound positive and upbeat about the program and that is half the battle. We are here for you - just jump in and start posting.

Welcome. Veggies are now my favorite thing in the meals! Like Terri said load up on veggies. I do that and I see a decrease, sometimes I just dont have enough available. Even my freezer get depleated too. So load up on veggies!
