One bad day shouldn't make that big a difference, don't be so hard on yourself!! Last Friday I took the evening off of working out and even had a cocktail... because the day had kicked my @ss and I needed to! Next day I put my big girl pants back on and got back in the saddle... how's that for a mixed metaphor!

I needed that, I get so frustrated sometimes, probably because it was only 2 years ago that I was 125 and tiny, and now I see the pics of me,and it makes me so mad at myself it can be sooo frustrating, but your right, I have done well, and will continue to do so one day at a time, thanks again. you rock!

Still battling the lazies, though still coming out on top. Tuesday was date night with DH, so no workout. Last night I went, ran a mile to warm up, then did 65 mins on elliptical machine. Didn't have a whole lot of steam though. Need to get fired up! I'm really glad I did go last night, as I'm going to a late dinner tonight, so probably won't get in much more than a good walk today.
I think it has something to do with this week at work pretty consistently kicking my @ss. Today and tomorrow are looking pretty bleak, with both Reps for one of our whiniest unions being out on PTO.
So, Maeble, you hanging in there? I gotta guzzle some coffee, take a few deep breaths, and become "Rockstar Receptionist".

yeah, I'm hangin in there, I had a bad day yesterday, but still managed to do my 3 miles with the pups, although I am not sure what good it did me, I got on the scale this morning, and I think it has been possessed! actually, I think I haven't been drinking enough water, so back to the fountain I go! I also kinda slipped on my diet yesterday, I consumed close to 2000 calories, but I guess the only thing to do now is use em up! things are kinda tough here, I just moved to a new city to go to school, and my family is 500 miles away, so I have alot of bad days lately! well..enough whining!
so congrats on doing so well with everything, you really inspire me to get moving, I look forward to your replies.

ok..so that was my morning grumpys! I just got back from a 5 mile jog/walk with my dog..and I feel GREAT! wahoo exercise endorphins! so I have kind of a wierd exercise routine, I thought I would throw it out there and see what you think... I start out at a fast pace walk, until my muscles are tingling, and I can't hold myself back, then I sprint in little bursts, with fast walking in between, I'm not sure what this does for me (if anything), but I basically do what my body feels like. I was thinking... if life were a farm, I would be a quarter horse, taking life in fast 1/4 mile stretches!
the other thing is that after my sprint/walk, I end up with a sharp pain in the area of my hip (feels like the femoral head is out of socket) do you know if this is something that's common? maybe something I am doing wrong? I think I am gonna post that question in a seperate thread, its really painful!

I get to answer calls from cranky people instead. lucky me! My office is short-staffed today, and tempers are flaring...
I'm going to try to sneak in an extra walk at lunch, to make up for no cardio tonight.
That hips thing sounds like something that happens to me on rare and painful occasions. It's like it does pop out of joint, and hurts until it pops back in. Don't have much advice, sorry, I usually just swear and bang on the hip until it stops...
Let's just give ourselves a round of applause at not crumbling under the weight of this crummy week... next week WILL be better!!
Had a really nice dinner out with a friend last night. Splurged on a cosmopolitan and dessert, but one cannot live on high-fiber bars alone, right!
I'm planning on kicking it into high gear this weekend. I'll be home all day tomorrow, so gonna do yoga, my lower body toning, and the elliptical. Tonight will be 1 mile run to warm-up, and elliptical. Sunday will aim for a 2 mile run and 35-45 mins elliptical. I survived a very challenging week at work, so should be smoother sailing from here.
ok, so my life has been crazy, but at least the sour mood is gone, I have been sooo busy, sorry I havent' gotten back to you bastet, but rest assured, I have been diligently working away, I got to update my ticker! wahoo

Maeble - glad to see ya! I did my 2 mile run tonight, felt really good. Did my ***-kicking Kathy Smith lower body toning dvd twice this weekend, and am feeling it bigtime in the glutes and hammies. Ate well this weekend too, so yay me!
Looks like we both survived a rough week. Let's make the coming one a better one, eh?

Maeble, really glad to see you're hanging in there!! I am gonna kick it up a notch for the next couple of evenings, do my elliptical workout and the Kathy Smith dvd I mentioned. I'm hoping to see 171-172 this weekend when I weigh in!
Have to say this morning sucked @ss. My hubby woke me up by pounding me in the back when he was flailing around in his sleep. Then my beloved toaster oven caught fire this morning. Actual flames. And I didn't get my toast, either!! Had to have *bread* with peanut butter and applesauce, which is not at all the same!
Now I get to answer the phone for about 200 whiney people. *sigh*
Anyway, know that despite feeling cross today, I'll be doing my best. And I know you'll do the same!

I was on vaca this week, but back now, and feeling fabulous, the excessive driving and decreased water consumption caused me to retain so much water that I could barely bend my fingers!, but I think its slowly resolving now (yuck), classes resume next monday, and I have signed up for an aerobics course, not sure what to expect, and i am a little trepidatious, I just hope I'm not the only one bigger than a size 2 in the class!
