Looking for a Buddy

  • Wecome to the Group. You'll get lots of support here. I've been here off and on. I just returned determined to lose weight and keep it off. Just remember to take a day at a time. You can do it.

  • Hi SleepyRosa...I am also doing the Atkins plan I have been doing it on and off...well I'm back on and I am determined to stick to it this time...the 1st time I tried it I lost a little over 30 lbs but I have a rather large goal...any pointers on foods or care to share your experience on the plan? I have the carb counting book but I sometimes still can't help but wonder if I'm doing it right...please share...

    I did Atkins last year and I have lost 40 pounds. It took me about 6 month to loose it. In November 04 I stoped and went back to regular eating.I gained 10 pounds .I think that is not bad. So now I am going to lose the 23 pounds. Today I will have chicken wings with green beans ,that is for lunch.Dinner I think I will have eggs and Salad.I never it breackfest.I am not hungry in the mornings. Also I eat till I am full. Sometimes I eat 3 or 4 times a day. Also I am not watching how much meat or eggs I eat.Only the carbs , I keep them around 35-40.

  • Rosa...you and I are more similiar than you know. I also don't eat breakfast because I am not hungry in the mornings only I eat 2-3 ties a day and in between that i try and dring a lotta water. i am not really a water drinker but what has helped is i bought one of those jugs whereas if you fill it and drink it all it is your daily requirement of water intake...it is very helpful. good luck and feel free to email if u wish...
