So...I've been "trying to lose weight" since I was 10, although I was not remotely overweight until I was 15, and now I'm 22. I'm a college student and I want to lose weight this summer before school starts again. I've always gone at it alone, never had any support, so this is where I'm hoping to change that.
I'm 5'5" tall and weigh 196 lbs. I plan to eat under 1500 calories a day and do 20 min. of exercize. If I get any more specific than that I get obsessive and can't stick with it.
This looks like an awesome place and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

I posted my first message on a web group (here) just last week it can be scarey.
I have been doing it two and a half months now and have lost about 1-3 pounds every week or maintained at least.
but I often do let myself eat a piece of chocolate if it something I really like and I am craving it. I try to make sure it is early in the day if possible.
