Hi, I'm new here.
Hi everyone. This is my first time posting on ANY message board, so I'm kinda nervous.
So...I've been "trying to lose weight" since I was 10, although I was not remotely overweight until I was 15, and now I'm 22. I'm a college student and I want to lose weight this summer before school starts again. I've always gone at it alone, never had any support, so this is where I'm hoping to change that. ;) I'm 5'5" tall and weigh 196 lbs. I plan to eat under 1500 calories a day and do 20 min. of exercize. If I get any more specific than that I get obsessive and can't stick with it. This looks like an awesome place and I'm looking forward to being a part of it. |
Hi Ianthe
Welcome to 3FC and we're here to give you all the support you need to lose weight. Any questions just ask and I'm sure someone will answer. :) Kim |
HI Ithane  I posted my first message on a web group (here) just last week it can be scarey.
I am finally losing weight after years of yo yo dieting. I also have given up dieting and instead am trying to embrace healthy living :cb: I have been doing it two and a half months now and have lost about 1-3 pounds every week or maintained at least. What I am doing is simple every day 1)I wake up and I ask my body what it is craving (bread? Fruit? Yogurt?) I eat enough till I am satisfied and try to stop before I am full when I go to reach for a chocolate or chips I usually say :nono: but I often do let myself eat a piece of chocolate if it something I really like and I am craving it. I try to make sure it is early in the day if possible. 2) MOVE MOVE MOVE :tread: 3) cut down on late night eating and drinking You are still so young and you can change your body don`t diet make permanent changes so there is nothing to go off you can so do it!! :cheer: Try and learn to listen to your body I think it works and do it for you! I hope this helps! |
