Hello! I am Courtney, 18, and really want to lose weight. When I was in 9th grade, I was 130 lbs and had no problems with my body. Gradually, I gained 50 lbs. So, here I am, a college freshman who weighs 180 lbs, is 5'9, and wears anywhere from a 13-17 size pant.

I joined 3fatchicks.com because I need the motivation and these forums seem really friendly and helpful. What I am really looking for here is a weight loss buddy!
One major goal I have accomplished for myself is giving up Coke/Pepsi. My very last Coke was on Jan. 3, 2004. Honestly, I feel GREAT because my boyfriend did not think I could give them up since I was drinking 3 cans a day. Now, I drink tea, lemonaide, and orange juice/soda.
I started exercising everyday starting a couple of days ago. I use 2 lb. weights while running in place and doing sit ups. But, I need better, more effective exercise methods.
I am looking to lose 55 pounds--to weigh 135 lbs. I have set small goals for myself. I just need some tips to stay on track (hence the reason I want a weight loss buddy-they can motivate me and vice versa).
