Talofa! (Hello!)

  • Hey everyone! I, too am new on here..well, new at posting.. I've been coming onto this site for the past week or so and have finally decided to actually post a hello.. oh, btw my title above means "hello" in my native tongue, Samoan.

    My name is Shalynn. I am 30 years young and a mother of 4 beautiful children! 20-30 pounds is what I'm looking forward to lose. I've been yo-yo-ing with my somewhat, diet within the past year but just in the past week I've lost 4 whopping pounds by simply watching (kinda) what I eat & drinking lots of water. I'm just about building up enough UMPH to get a membership at the gym within walking distance from work to complete my "diet plan." I have managed to dust off my Taebo videos and upon starting my workout, have realized that I am soooo outta shape. I would exercise for 2 minutes with Billy before dropping.. lol.. I plan on buying some tapes/dvd that are less strenuous to begin with. A friend of mine from work has been on the WW program and has been trying to get me to go. I start my first meeting on Saturday, so wish me luck!

    Currently, my support is my husband who has also been watching what WE eat (He's the cook). I look forward to becoming an avid poster here and hopefully one day I'll be able to post in the "SUCCESS" thread!

  • Hello, welcome to the forums. You sound like you are raring to go. It's a good idea to get an exercise video right for your fitness level, it will be easier to stick with it.
