Smile Hello =)

I am always at a loss for words when introducing myself. I tumbled across this site looking for something, anything in hopes of getting the push and such I need to get healthier.

I am extremely overweight. I started a year or so ago with doing at home exercises that really helped. I was able to walk with no problem, more stamina, strength and generally felt good. Then I went back to school, and found myself with my face in my computer nearly 24/7. Found I had not time for myself.

The changes happened quickly though, shortness of breath. Hard time walking because of pain in lower back. Standing, for the same reason. My confidence nose dived and now have found myself avoiding going out unless necessary because of stares and comments. I am really unhappy with myself.

I am once again starting with at home exercises that I find on YouTube, cutting back on how much I eat and trying take care of me. I am worried about my health but lack motivation? Drive? Follow through? Seems to get in the way some times and I'm trying to overcome that weakness.

Sorry for this long dribble.
Thank you =)

Hi! I am at a loss for motivation too - that is until yesterday when I found a picture from just 3 years ago and 40 lbs lighter! I literally cried. But I am not throwing in the towel. Starting with small changes like no more soda and juices, I've switched to all kinds of tea that help with inflammation, belly bulge, constipation, headaches, tiredness lol. I figure if I can drink tea all day I will get a boost of energy I need as well relieve some of my symptoms that cause me to make excuses. Good luck! I'm rooting for you.

Liliann, I have sciatica too which just compounds the frustration. In my mind, I know why, but I am also thinking that people or the world, or whoever is thinking it's solely because of my weight. I hate that word - morbidly obese, or obese. It sounds so rude. Severely overweight sounds like it is a problem, but I can still fight it, if that makes sense. Thank you =)

mommymeohmy, oh thank you! Good luck to you too! It can be so hard when you just much rather not, but you know you should. I'm glad to say today, I did some beginner weights using videos on youtube and drank two bottles of water. I'm trying to only focus on the moment...Not always easy.

Good luck to both of you! =)
