I have posted in a few threads now, but thought I'd make the standard introduction post as well. I'm a 34 year old woman who is looking to shed at least 80 pounds. I have given up all sodas for two weeks now, and for the last week I have been using the LoseIt app to track calories, steps, and exercise. I am walking everyday, usually about 10-15 minutes at a time, a few times per day. Every other day, I am doing about 30 minutes of water aerobics. This is more exercise than I have had in years. It's only been a week of this but I feel better already. I definitely have more energy and my pants are loose as well. Good start!
I am definitely looking for buddies in this lifestyle change. No one I know is trying to lose weight, and while I do have some friends/family that are really athletic, they are all way above me, haha. Anyone that wants to check in here or by email or a messaging app, I'm down. I could use the accountability and encouragement!
Just bought a scale, my weight this morning was 220, and I am 5'7". I feel I must have lost at least five pounds since I started, since I have lost at least an inch and maybe two from my waist, but I can't be sure since I just got the scale last night.
