Default Yippee I'm Gonna Do It

Hello, I've been surfing around looking for a group to join and this looks like a fun bunch of people. Just my kind!

I'm Robin and I'm ready to lose some weight. I have had all kinds of excuses for not really trying.....stopped smoking (12 years ago...so that shouldn't be a reason now, right?)...... Divorced (4 years ago....so I shouldn't use that to stuff my face now, right?).... Moved in with my Mom to help her out(over a year ago....so??, right?).

So here I am ready to take on this new chapter and get healthy. I've decided not to do a "diet", but am going to eat three meals a day, cut out snacks, sodas, cream & sugar in my coffee and walk an hour a day. How does that sound? I'm not much into counting calories so I figure that I should be able to lose just by cutting out all my sweet snacks that I love, right? Robin

Welcome, RobinVM! This is a remarkably fun place! Your plan sounds like a great way to start! It may not get you all the way to your goal, but by that time, you'll have new ideas of how to approach it.

Hi RobinVM! You'll get lots of support here! It sounds like the changes you've made in the last 12 years have all been positive ones so you are right, they are not good reasons to overeat! I'm so glad you've decided to take control back! Good for you cutting out foods and drinks that you know are unhealthy for you. I wish you the best. Good luck!
