Default New B to the IP Diet

Hello all. I am currently on day 3 of the IP diet...weighed in at 224.5 and goal weight is supposed to be 115. I was thinking more around 130-140? The last time I was that skinny I was a senior in high school. I choose this
diet because I've tried all others and they work but as soon as your off...all the weight is back on! A co-worker lost 50 pounds and has kept it off for 2 years. So I decided I have nothing to lose but fat.

First day was the worst I felt a little off balance...but it eased off a bit, shakes are okay orange drink not so good but I still drank it all. In the evening had salt & vinegar ridges (cardboard). Day 2 was okay forgot my lunch so I flipped lunch for dinner according to food guidelines.

The hardest for me is not being able to have any milk in my coffee not even skim...and no whole wheat toast in the morning. I am taking all my supplements. I was told all the IP products have collagen?? I did not see that
on any of the product labels??

I was told by the doctors office that this will be my last diet!! Fingers crossed!

Hi tinkerbell! I've heard that IP is a pretty good diet. I'm not on it, but I am on a low-carb diet so I hear you on the no milk and bread complaint, lol! Be sure to check out the IP forum: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ideal-protein-diet-236/. I'm sure you'll get lots of great advice and tips there. Also browse around and jump in on any forums and threads that interest you! People are super nice and supportive here. Good luck!

Default IP Newbie as well

I'm starting Sunday since I have a dinner out to attend tomorrow night. I've got all my stuff; just wish it didn't cost so much.

Hope things get easier for you in the coming days.

I am on day 3 a well. So far so good. Day 1 & 2 felt great. Today not a much, but I think my body is trying to hold on to whatever it can. So far I am loving it. The chicken noodle soup, gritty & not so great but it will do. In the mornings I grab a extra large black coffee, then our the vanilla shake into it. SO GOOD! I sipped it between 6 & 8 am & I was good till I had lunch at 1. I already feel like I have been loosing so therefore I am super happy! I hope you all have wonderful luck with this- I think this might be the thing that works for me! Keep going ladies!

I'm new here too. I started Ideal Protein three week ago. I am feeling good and starting to see the fruits of my labor. It was really hard the first couple of weeks, but now I am not having any cravings and it seems do I dare say easier. I'd love to find some others to connect with.

Welcome, I joined the site last week and just starting my third week on IP. It gets easier and for sure some food options are better than others. I blend I've in the mango and in the mixed berry smoothie and enjoy it way more. Good luck
