I joined this site while I was at university but it's been such a long time I should probably introduce myself again...
My name's Frances and I'm 29. This is doubly frightening because I'm pushing 3-0 and I've not spent half my life either being on a diet or wanting to lose weight.
On a positive note, little by little I'm working out what works for me in terms of this process. Scales are not my friend - that way lies obsession and all kinds of unhealthy behaviours - so I'd like to lose a couple of dress sizes (uk 12-14 at the moment but I'm only 5'3) and generally be more athletic.
