I'm new to this forum. Looking for some motivation to get my butt in gear and drop the 20lbs I've always told myself I would. Currently working the night shift so I've been finding it extra hard to get motivated (and the Holiday season is always difficult). Hey Samantha! My main motivation is that I want to feel healthy and energetic again. I played sports throughout college and was always energized and confident. Since I've let my fitness and eating habits detioriorate I've seen by confidence take a nosedive. I've found that I'm not as outgoing anymore. And I constantly feel sluggish.
I think it's great that you are doing this now. I remember being in the 150s and 160s and 170s... I should have fixed the problem way back then. You are doing a great job, already, by dieting and fixing it now! Kudos
