Hi :)
I don't normally post on forums, I'm more of a lurker, but this place has served as a great motivator and support system without me posting...I figure I can get even more out of it if I actually introduce myself.
I'm a 19 year old girl. I go to college full time during the day and work part time at night. I've been fat pretty much as far back as I can remember. I was a premature baby, tiny toddler, and then I kind of discovered food and never looked back. Since being fat's been normal for me I kind of never really wanted to change it until I realized I was able to do something about it.
My dad and I went on weight watchers together four or five years ago but we fell off the wagon together when a bunch of bad stuff happened at once and food was there to comfort us as usual. Since then I've gained even more weight back. The addiction thing runs in my family, but so does determination. I'm back on Weight Watchers now - the old exchange plan from before I was born - and I plan to stick with it this time, even though I'm going it alone. Dad's not ready for a full lifestyle change yet, and I can respect that. That's sort of why I'm here - support.
Anyway, writing stuff down helps me and this post kind of makes the start (or restart) of my journey feel "official." So thanks for reading my super long (sorry!) intro, if you made it this far, and thanks to the tons of members whose posts I have read who have, thus far, served as inspiration and motivation.
