Smile It's Time!!!

So I just turned 29 years old a couple weeks ago... and even though I never thought turning 29 would have any kind of impact on my state of mind and how I feel about all I've accomplished so far, it has. In a BIG way! My whole life I've struggled with weight issues... especially after I had my daughter nearly 8 years ago. I've always yo-yo dieted and I'd manage to maintain a healthy weight for a couple of months before I'd fall off the wagon and gain it all (and then some) back.

I feel like now is the time to change my ways, my attitude, how I feel about my body and lead a healthier lifestyle... no matter what weight I end up at. Although I thought I'd always dread turning 30, I'm definitely looking at it more like a new beginning... a healthy and happy start.

I couldn't care less what size I am at the end of this... or if I can ever get back into a bikini... I just want to look in the mirror... and be satisfied and happy that I'm finally a healthy woman who is going to be a great role model for my young daughter.

I've never been good at dieting. Dieting always consisted of heavily restricting my food intake, dropping weight relatively fast, then gaining it back once I've become "comfortable". I'm not going to be on any special diet. I'll be counting calories and making healthier food choices. All of you ladies seem to be such a good support system to one another and I'm sure I'll turn here for some inspiration when I'm feeling overwhelmed with it all. I've been lurking for a while and finally decided it was time to join. You ladies who have already reached goals... whether big or small... are absolute inspirations to me that I can do the same thing.

So a big THANK YOU in advance... and I look forward to communicating with you all. Thanks for reading my book lol

Hi NolaMama, and Glad you have a plan in mind. And yes, I agree that eating healthfully is the way to go. I don't "diet" either -- in fact my food is scrumptious!! I wish you all success.
