Arrow Starting Over Again

Hello everyone

I'm almost 21 years old, weighing in at my heaviest, and ready to start over AGAIN. I really want to lose weight, always have, but it seems like I never have the perseverance to overcome the obstacles.

I currently do not live in my own home, so I tend to buy food from outside. 95% of the time I eat fast food. That other 5%? Bad food at home (fried, starchy, etc.)

A tight budget + no access to the kitchen = a disaster!

I tried to start eating healthier today... I bought one of those *under 400 calories* sandwiches from 7-Eleven. I know I don't have the money to go on a diet, but I want to try. My birthday is coming soon, and I want to turn over a new leaf.

Please don't judge me. If anyone can relate to me, then high five! Thanks for listening to my rant/introduction, and if you want to get to know me or offer me advice, please do so

I can definitely relate, so high five!

I am older than you (25 ) but, I also tended to eat out a lot, especially a few years ago when I was in college. But, I'm starting to learn what kinds of foods to eat if do have to eat fast food. I use myfitness pal to track my calories, may be that's something you can look into? It's an app and website for your phone.

anyway, welcome!!

Welcome! Yes, it would be hard with no kitchen. What about getting an ice cooler? You could get a lot of fresh fruits and veggies, etc., and eat at home more. Fast food is, as you know, not usually a good choice. Also, there are foil packets of tuna, salmon, etc. (I keep a lot of stuff for a stash in my desk at work). Also, precooked brown rice in individual servings, individual servings of unsweetened applesauce, all kinds of things. And they are certainly not any more expensive than eating out.

It is harder for sure without a kitchen, but it can be done!
