Default New Here!

Hi, I'm Jess and I just stumbled upon this web forum. I am starting of a weightless journey and am looking for some supports on this road to a healthier me.
I am 26 and live in a smallish town in Ontario Canada. I work as a Registered nurse in a hospital (a crazy stressful job). I was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 12, and don't ever remember weighing less than 200lbs. I just took a leap to start metformin, along with a good exercise and diet plan. I am hoping to make it to 175lbs. Even if i make it too 200lbs Ill be ecstatic! So I guess I am just putting my name out there and will check this site out! If you know of any groups or forums that I might be interested in feel free to respond!

thanks

Hi Jess. It sounds like we have similar goals. What kind of exercise are you doing?

Hi Jess!
This is a new forum to me as well. I also see that we have very similair goals as well.. Im aiming for 2lbs a week. What are your weekly goals? What weight loss program are you in right now? I am currently paying for online weight watchers membership but really haven't been tracking for about a month :/ I am happy I found someone my same age w/ around the same weight loss goal.. I have been up and down w/ my weight my whole life and I know w/ support, weight loss is a lot easier.

Hey Jess! Fellow Canadian here

Welcome to the forum and I wish you the best of luck! Are you doing a specific program? Diet? Plan? Exercise? Set yourself some small goals, they are very attainable and much more motivating when you look at it that way instead of the big picture.

Good luck xoxo

Hi Jess,

I too am 26 and literally just joined 3FC. I am from Phoenix,AZ and have continually gone up in my weight throughout the years. Used to be really fit and active, but since I graduated from college, went through a major unexpected health scare, then through a bought of depression I find myself at a place I never knew I would be. I also have PCOS and found out 2 years ago. I know I need to make major changes in my lifestyle and I know this is a step in the right direction. This is a first time for me seeking out support with losing weight as I've only ever lost 17 lbs and that was because I didn't eat for a week in the hospital.

Lets see where this journey takes us.

Wow this is great> here for one day and already have plenty of people on my side. I am not really into dieting but plan on starting to eat healthy meals throughout the day (have a struggle with that in the past) and I am starting to exercise at the gym. I'm starting slow as I'm also kind of on the mend from a month off of work for depression and anxiety. So my first few steps/goals are going to the gym for aquafit classes.

Hi Jess! I am also new to 3FC and just started weight watchers online this past Monday. I also work in a hospital and it is so hard to lose weight. We are either so busy we don't get a chance to take a break or someone has brought in potluck and you graze on junky food all shift! Add grad school to full time work and my weight has crept up, up, up! I am currently 268 and ultimate goal is 140 (i think). I would really like to just be under 200 though! Glad you're here and can't wait to get to know everyone better!
