Smile A big hello and a question! :)

Hi all! This is my first thread. My name is Jaclyn, I'm 24 and I've had weight struggles since my junior year of high school. Seven years later, I'm finally regaining control with healthy eating, dedication, exercise and time. I started my weight loss journey in Decemeber 2010 and have lost roughly 50 lbs since then. It feels great because with the psych meds I was taking and hypothyroidism on top of that, I never thought I'd make it even this far. I feel so much more confident but I have a little ways to go still. I'm afraid the last 10 lbs or so will be the hardest!

Now for my question. I'm afraid I won't be happy at 140, I'm afraid I'll still look a bit chubby (I have the worst problems with my ARMS! They refuse to shrink!) at that weight. If you've reached your goal weight, did you ever feel like you should readjust it a bit lighter? Have you reached your goal weight but still weren't quite satisfied and had to keep losing? Who knows, maybe 10 lbs will make a bigger difference than I'm thinking, but I was just wondering if anyone else has gone through that kind of experience.

So hello everyone, I'm so glad I found this site! It's a great motivator.

I reached my goal weight of 140 (Okay, I made it to 141 but it still counts lol!) and I looked completely different than I thought I would. I had to readjust my goal weight to between 130-135 since I was STILL wearing a size 11 pant and still had lots of fat left in my stomach area. After more research, I also discovered that when most people are that close to their goal weight yet still unhappy, the fix is usually strength training and lifting heavy weights to help tighten things up.

Now since I fell off the wagon and am back up to 150, I have to relose those same pounds but atleast I have an idea of what to do!
