Default Hello from a Canadian!...who loves food...

Hello everyone! I've been reading this forum on and off for quite a while and I've recently become more serious about losing weight and becoming more healthy.

I have a super supportive fiance, but he's getting concerned about my health and finally worked up the courage to talk to me about - that meant a lot to me so I'm stepping up!

My problems: I love food! I hate counting calories. I do love to exercise, though... so at least I have that on my side.

I look forward to meeting new people who are going through some of the same things as me and being a part of a support system.

Happy to be here! Hello everyone.

Fellow Canadian here! I love food too and I have come to realize that I can still love food and lose weight. I have just had to find healthy food that I love (and not eat 3 plates of it...haha).

We can do it! Good luck!

Hello and

Yes... to what Rosa said! And once you get the "junk craving" out of your system, the healthful foods actually taste much BETTER.

And nothing tastes as good as thin feels!

Look at that! Another Canadian eh!? HAhaha I'm kidding Welcome!!

I honestly hated counting calories at first, then it became a part of me, eventually you start knowing them all by heart lol

But if it's really not for you, try just making simple changes in your diet, you will get over your food obsession, I know, because I did. I mean don't get me wrong, I still LOVE food but I can't eat nearly as much so I just don't xo Good luck!! xoxo Let me know if you need any advice or need to vent, I'm here for ya! xo

Thanks sweetie, that will be you in no time!! xo

I started by entering everything in My Fitness Pal.
If you have an iphone or android you can get the app and literally scan barcodes, it makes it so much easier! I started 16 months ago and would look up EVERYTHING, to this day, I still do, but some days I just go by memory.

It'll come to you, I promise, as annoying as it is, I found it very helpful!
