Hi,
I'm new to the site and sort of new to dieting in general. Since I graduated from college and have a job that involves me sitting for 40 hours a week, I noticed that I've gotten bigger over the years. Standing on the scale this weekend I realized it's time to stop ignoring it and start making an honest effort to lose the weight!
I've always avoided dieting because I absolutely LOVE food. Living in a place like New Orleans, I also feel like food is eeeeeverywhere and it's rarely healthy. I'm also an emotional eater so, given the relationship problems I've had over the last year, the "food is comfort" thing has probably gone overboard as well. I eat when I'm happy, upset, and stressed!
Anyway I'm looking forward to this decision to be more active and pay attention to what actually goes into my mouth and to chat with people with the same goals in mind.
