Default Hello!!!

Hi there,

I'm new to the forum and just joined a 6-week challenge under the 20 something group! I'm here because I am mortified at how much weight I have gained in the past few years. At the same time I am absolutely determined to not gain any more!

A little history....

I grew up as a fat kid. At 20 years old, I received a rude awakening when my mom bought me size 20 pants! I was at my heaviest - 212 lbs. For the next year or so I was determined to lose weight! By the time I was 21, I weighed 145! That's almost 70 lbs I had lost! I was so proud of myself and I felt great. Over the years, with life changes and stresses the weight has slowly crept back into my life. I am now at 170 and feel awful.

By joining this community, I hope to really become that motivated 20 year old again - only at 26 this time, and regain a healthy balance in my life. I look forward to being inspired by you guys and I hope I can contribute as well!!

Cheers

Hi calilove03! Your story sounds so much like mine. I can completely relate when you talk about being mortified at the weight you've gained because that's exactly where I'm at now. I've lost weight in the past, though I can't say I've ever seen 145 on the scale, and I was so proud. Somehow though, I let it creep back on and now losing it all over again seems almost impossible at times. It really helps to hear that other people are in the same boat, though. Good luck and thanks for sharing! We can do this!

Thank you and yes we CAN! I appreciate your response, it's truly motivating to hear others have similar stories and that we can work through this together.
