Default Hi, New to this site, Happy to have found it.

Hi Everyone!!!

I was browsing reviews for a certain diet that hit the market recently and came across this site. I am so happy that I did. I have been overweight for most of my life. At this point I am catagorized in the "morbidly obese". While I would normally say that my New Years resolution was to lose weight, this year I did not even make one. I always end up flubbing it about about mid-way through January. My motivation is my 2 young children. I am 28, 5'5", 256 lbs and I feel it every morning when I wake up. I wake up with aches and pains that a person my age should not have. While I would like to get down to 150 lbs, my main goal is to be healthy, be able to get outside with my kids and not feel limited. I want to be a good example for them. I have tried a variety of diets, with no long term success. I hope to use this site as a tool to help me in this journey. Hopefully I can get my hubby on board as well!!

Glad you found us! This place is filled with tons of resources so educate yourself on the different eating plans etc. Lots of us do calorie counting It's free, and works great! I think it's great your doing this to be healthy, it will change your life and your kids will thank you for it! I have 2 young boys and I have so much more energy with them and plus I'm in a better mood most of the time cause of the exercise. You will never regret it. Glad your here

Thank you, InsideMe!! I am so excited!! I plan on counting calories as well, I found a great iphone app and have already started entering in my food. And WOW, you have inspired me even more, Congrats on all of the goals you have reached!! You give me hope

Awesome progress so far! I'm really excited to be on this forum and get support from so many wonderful folks. Recently I was diagnosed with a bad gluten intolerance issue and wheat allergy. Loosing weight will be easier without gluten but tougher avoiding it! Hoping to get some good advice on this forum.
