Ready to take a step forward

  • Hello there,
I am joining Weight Watchers tomorrow with the goal of losing almost 30 lbs. I don't know my exact weight, but my ultimate goal is 135.

I have a long history of weight struggles. 8 yrs ago I lost 33 lbs on WW and kept it off until I got pregnant with my second daughter. I have been unhappy with my weight since (it has been 6 LONG years of unhappiness).

I am very active, running about 30 miles/week + some other gym time. I struggle with great frustration about what I 'should' look like given the amount of exercise I do. Plus, I would like to be consistently running half marathons at under 10 min/miles and I can't do that with my extra pounds.

Food is my big issue. I think I have totally lost touch with what "normal" eating is. I am hoping WW will help me regulate portions & remind me of how loaded some foods are. Plus, the accountability will help. Emotional eating is also a problem for me.

This is deeply, incredibly, overwhelmingly difficult for me. I am hoping to be supportive of others and find some support here. I feel like I am at a very low point. I feel horrible about the way I look and feel.

    Thanks for reading...
  • Hi Piper, I'm a newb too!

Yikes, you run a lot! I'm really surprised that you need to lose any weight with the amount of exercise you do, I wish I was that motivated!!

Good luck with weight watchers, all the best to you
